MIM - reverse masking


I love this week's technique!  Masking, and reverse masking are the most fun and versatile techniques, in my humble crafty opinion.  Here, I used reverse masking to create those soft, billowy clouds.  I die-cut the clouds onto a post-it note, and used the negative space to sponge in bashful blue ink, as well as SU's "A to Z" stamp.

I know a slew of mommies-to-be expecting little boys - I'm a-thinkin' this card will serve me well in the next few months :)

    Very cute card. I still haven't watched this week's video, so I'm clueless how you got all those cool effects. This card would be great for a baby, or almost anything else.

    Great card, Elena. Love the lettering inside the clouds. It creates a lot of interest and texture. I also love the way you added the scalloped edge to the top of your card. I usually use the scalloped edges along the bottom or side, but this is so effective as part of the sky image.

    Fabulous card! I love those sponged clouds, esp the text! The layout is fantastic.

    Thank you soooo much for the suggestions! I had so much trouble with that card. I wanted to add bling but didn't know if it would still be masculine. :)
