Sloth valentine (Just ME digital stamps)

Hi there!

sloth valentine (Just ME digital stamps)

There are new valentine digis in the shop, and I'm gonna give you a closer look at one of my favorites today:

sloth valentine (Just ME digital stamps)

The sloth and turtle image is too cute! I've included a version without the heart in the flag as well, so that you could type or stamp a little greeting inside if you wanted. They make a cute couple for Valentine's day, but also for belated birthday cards. I need to bang out some of those for sure!

sloth valentine (Just ME digital stamps)

To make this card, I printed the image onto white cardstock, colored it, and sponged some blue ink all around. Then, using some Lawn Fawn dies (the circle, the circle frame, and the grass border) I added dimension to the card. The sentiment was cut out using an Avery Elle banner die.

I hope you like this lazy combo! Check out what else is new in the shop: Just ME digital stamps.

Thanks!

Sew... it's your birthday! (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's CHA sneaks week continues, with another 7 stamp sets being shown today.

I've combined 2 of them on this card: Sewn with Love, and Bannertastic. I love how it looks like the banner is a piece of fabric running through the machine:

Sew... it's your birthday (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

To create the look, I stamped the sewing machine and the banner and die-cut them both. Then, I snipped off the top of the banner and drew in a straight line, so that it would connect with the straight edge of the sewing machine. Easy peasy!

Sew... it's your birthday (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

The card background is a quick watercolor job, and I kept the images colors soft to match. I added the tiniest bit of pom-pom trim to give the card more texture.

I hope you like it!

this little kitty (Lawn Fawn CHA sneak week)

Hi there!

We're a few days into Lawn Fawn's CHA sneak week - are you loving everything so far?

I used today's featured Road Border as the sentiment strip on my card:

That little kitty (from Meow You Doin') is the cutest. I have him making a mess, playing with all the balls of yarn.

I love that there are so many different ways to color these cats! Little white paws are my fave.

Wood you be mine? (Avery Elle)

Hi there!

I just love this beaver image from Avery Elle. The set is called "Wood You?" and it is just the sweetest:

wood you be mine? (Avery Elle)

I first stamped the background with the largest image from Brushed, to give the horizontal lines. Then, I stamped and colored the beaver and his log and placed the sentiment into the banner flag from the Wonky Stitches die set.

The images are big enough to stand alone, and make for an easy-to-put-together card!

Out of this world! (Lawn Fawn CHA sneak week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn is showing you everything they are bringing with them to CHA (the Craft and Hobby Association trade show) later this week. The new products won't be on sale until the end of February, but it will be worth the wait. This is my favorite release yet!

There are a handful of new sets being highlighted today on the LF blog, but my absolute favorite is this cute little astronaut:

Out of this world! (Lawn Fawn CHA sneak peek week)

Out of This World features the adorable astronaut, a handful of planets and the spaceship. It is such a fun set!  While my baby girl Maia was using her new watercolor set, I decided to take advantage and make myself a quick background for this outer space card. She limited me to using only her blue paint, ha. bossy.

Out of this world! (Lawn Fawn CHA sneak peek week)

I borrowed the flag image from another new set, Bicycle Built For You. I like how I could split up the sentiment into two parts that way. The banner image is new too! You'll see that later on this week.

I couldn't help but add some gloss to the astronaut's face and the spaceship's window:

This was such a fun card to make! Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more new sneaks and design team inspiration - click!

Squirrels in love

Good morning! I'm here and on the Neat and Tangled blog with this cuddly squirrel card:

squirrels in love

I stamped, colored and die-cut the large acorn & squirrel image from My Favorite Nut, and die-cut the sentiment and little xo flag (from the Love Notes die set.)

To create the frame, I cut the largest scalloped frame (from Scalloped) and used a rectangle die to cut an opening for my images.

I hope you like my card! Thanks for stopping by!

Floral heart shaker (Neat and Tangled release week)

We're onto the last day of reveals for this month's Neat and Tangled release. Tomorrow morning, at 8am EST, all new products will be available for purchase in the NT store.

I have one last squirrel card for you, paired with another set I've illustrated: Floral Heart. (I get all original when I name these sets, I tells ya.)

Floral heart shaker (Neat and Tangled release week)

If the heart wreath looks familiar, it's because I offer it as a digi stamp in my Etsy shop (you can see it here,) but there is nothing like having a stamp to ink up and a matching die to play around with. I asked Danielle to provide a matching die with options: the outside of the heart can be cut, the inside can be cut, or both if you choose to line up the 2 dies. I opted for the full-service cut here, and created a shaker underneath.

I did some ink blending on the base layer, and splattered white ink over it before adding the pink sequin mix. The squirrel (doesn't he look so bashful? he's my fave) from My Favorite Nut was colored and added to the front, along with the sentiment and a little heart. While the sentiment is from the new set (My Favorite Nut,) the banner shape is from the sold-out Stamptember set, Nuts About You.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the NT blog this morning - click!

Little lamb baby shower (with Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

I'm on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning, to show off this woolly party:

Little lamb baby shower (with Lawn Fawn)

I have baby fever lately, with the birth of my twin nieces! I used the lamb from Baaah Humbug to create all of the shower decor.

Little lamb baby shower (with Lawn Fawn)

Staging and photographing this party was *interesting* with the kids being home on winter break. I had literally 5 minutes to snap a few photos before the wolves (I'm not even gonna take that back) salivated on the cupcakes.

Thanks kids.

You can check out the rest of the party on the LF blog today - click!

ps, I just got new Lawn Fawn delivered to the house. Just you wait, this CHA release is going to be the best ever! I am so excited to play around with them!

I think of you so often (Neat and Tangled release week)

Hi there!

We're on to day 3 of this month's Neat and Tangled release week. In case you missed the first few days:

Day 1: My Favorite Nut
Day 2: Loves Notes

Today, we're showing off Miriam new layering set, Calathea. She always comes up with designs that are so original! If you're hopping over from the Neat and Tangled blog, you may be confused to find my squirrels amid a slew of leafy beauties, but I promise I used the new set.

I think of you so often (Neat and Tangled release week)

I used the biggest solid leaf, it's matching outline image and the matching die to create the 4 bubbles (bubbles?) for my scene.

I love that the leaf is an irregular oval, so I just eyeballed the quadrant. If they were precise ovals, I would have definitely been more careful.

I stamped inside each opening with a medium grey ink, and then splattered blue and brown inks over that. I really like the black outline around each oval. It makes the card even more playful and matches the black outline of the rest of the images.

I think of you so often (Neat and Tangled release week)

The images are from My Favorite Nut, the sentiment from Calathea, and the little bird was stolen from Kitty's Favorite Things.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the NT blog this morning - click!

Loves Notes (Neat and Tangled release week)

Hi there!

It's day 2 of January's Neat and Tangled release week. If you missed yesterday's look at My Favorite Nut, click HERE.

Today we're showing off Love Notes, featuring Danielle's hand-lettering that I love so much. I couldn't help but pair it with my new little squirrels:

Love notes (Neat and Tangled release week)

I stamped the squirrel friends, 2 branch images, and the little gift-tagged acorn. I made the branch appear longer by hiding the seam behind the LOVE die-cut.

Love notes (Neat and Tangled release week)

There are a slew of secondary sentiments to go along with the big scripted LOVE. I chose this one to make it a cute friendship card.

My Favorite Nut (Neat and Tangled release week)

Happy 2017! I don't know about you, but I stayed in pyjamas all day yesterday. Naps and Food Network binge-watching were a good way to start things off and recover from a very fun New Year's Eve.

Neat and Tangled's January release week starts today! We're showing off my new set, My Favorite Nut. So many of you were frustrated that our Stamptember collaboration set, Nuts About You sold out within hours of its release. I created this Valentine version just for you.

my favorite nut (Neat and Tangled release week)

I did a quick watercolor on my card-base, using my daugther's Christmas watercolor set. ha.

Then, I stamped and colored the large acorn image with the cute little squirrel couple inside. I just love them! The sentiment was stamped into the blank acorn bottom, and I did scatter some acorns from the sold-out Stamptember set at the base.

I hope you like what you see! You can check out even more squirrely inspiration on the NT blog this morning - click!

Don't forget - there is a giveaway every day this week, and a final 25$ gift certificate up for grabs. Comment on all of the design team blogs all week for a chance to win.
