Sunshine (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

I cut 2 layers of the sun frame and layered them for a fuller looking sun. I added the adorable smiley face inside and framed it out with an ink-blended rainbow background.

Build-A-Basket (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

  Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today, we're showing off Build-A-Basket: Easter. The pieces layer together to create the cutest easter basket, chocolate bunny included!

Build-A-Basket (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

I cut all of the pieces out of white paper and then colored them using Copic markers. I like the softness that I can get by doing it that way.

Once I had my Easter basket arranged, I cut a layer of Sunburst Backdrop (a new essential die, in my opinion!) and did some soft blue ink blending on it. It really frames out the Easter basket so well!

Build-A-Basket (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

I like the look of an entirely die-cut card, so I kept that going for the sentiment. I cut the Happy Easter Line Border out of a soft purple cardstock. Since the Easter basket was popped up on foam squares, I opted to die-cut the sentiment 3x and adhere the layers together.

Pop-up desk (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

  Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today, we're showing off a few new products. I've combined Pop-Up Desk, Perfectly Plaid Remix papers, and Textured Dot Cardstock on my card today:

I brought in images from Virtual Friends and Bubbles of Joy to decorate the outside of the card. The little mouse, who is supposed to drape over a big bubble, looks hilarious to me all sprawled out over the top of the computer. I did some ink blending around the edges of the patterned paper, to lend some drama to the focal images.

I used the same paper on the inside of the card, but without the ink blending. The Pop-Up Desk was cut from Textured Dot Cardstock which is hard to see in the photo, but adds some extra fun in real life. I added a lot of shading using a range of brown Copic markers. I cut the laptop from a light grey cardstock, and popped in the waving mouse from Virtual Friends. Above, I used a sentiment from Long Distance Hugs, another new set.

Virtual Friends (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

  Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today, we're showing off Virtual Friends - these friends have a strong connection!

Virtual Friends (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

I just love this set! The little computer, with the options for who attends the zoom call? adorable. I added the little bear, from Snow Much Fun, and had him stand up on a stack of books (from Den Sweet Den) to be able to see what's going on.

I kept the background simple - just a simple wash of color - and stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base.

I hope you like it! Wait until you see the other samples, they will blow your socks off! Check them out on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning - click!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today we are showing off Scripty Bubble Sentiments, a set that works perfectly with Bubbles of Joy (which was shown off yesterday.)

Scripty Bubble Sentiments (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

For something a little different, I brought in the elephant from Elphie Selfie and had him blow the bubbles!

I used the new slimline stencils to create the cloud and hillside background.

To make the bubbles more special, I went over all of them, including the smile sentiment, with a layer of glossy accents.

Swish 'n Pop Pull Tab (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today, we are taking a first look at the newest interactive die set - the Swish 'n Pop Pull Tab!

Swish and Pop Pull Tab (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

When the tab is pushed, the design element swishes in an arc - it's really easy to put together and so fun to play with! I made the sun wave across the sky.

I used the Smooth Sailing stamp set to make the brightest and happiest birthday card I could.

Here is a video of the die in action - so fun!

Bubbles of Joy (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today, we are giving you a first look at Bubble Of Joy - the sweet little mice blowing bubbles will blow you away. hee hee.

Bubbles of Joy (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

This card is everything soft and subtle. I used the Cloudy Stencil to create the sky, and used hillside borders for the grassy hills.

I then added the mice and all of the bubbles to flesh out the scene, and stamped the sentiments directly onto the background layers.

I hope you like it! There are the most amazing samples on the Lawn Fawn page today, the design team knocked it out! Click HERE to check them out.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I'm so excited to be celebrating Avery Elle's newest release with a blog hop today! We have 12 new stamp sets and 13 new die sets available in the store right now (click!)

I designed 5 of the new sets, including the one that I will be showing off today: Underwater Friends.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I complemented Underwater Friends with the also-new Underwater Background Builder. I love how they work together so seamlessly!

For my first card, I went saturated and moody with the coloring. I used copic markers to color the cliffs (BG72, BG75, BG78 and 100.) I kept working them until I was happy with the shadowing. I then used Lawn Fawn inks (in Mermaid, Peacock and Deep Sea) to color the background. I used black ink to shade around the sides and bottom of the card as well, to add extra depth to the scene. Then, I set about coloring the mermaid, the adorable shrimp (gah! that form a heart together!) and I added a little fish to the sea-cave at the bottom left. I love that little detail!

For my second card, I went for light and dreamy. I color the cliffs in much lighter colors, and ink-blended blues and violet for the ocean background. I colored all of the rocks and vegetation in light, bubblegum colors, and colored the creatures to match. I love how color can totally change the outcome of a card!

I hope you like what I created for you today! Be sure to check out all of the fun blog hop inspiration:
