I am over-the-moon this morning! I was spot-lighted on the class blog, by THE Jennifer McGuire for my bitty bird card. I'm such a dork, but this is so exciting for me! If that wasn't enough, check out the fawny flickr friday post on lawnfawn's blog - that banner card looks awfully familiar :)
With absolutely no good segway, here's today's card:
Did you notice how LITTLE color I used in this card? I think summer card camp has overloaded my color quotient... I needed a break. Don't you love this little set? I stamped the stork and baby images from PTI's "bundle of love" - it's so adorable! Since I still need a few baby boy cards for my friends' upcoming miracles, I added blue to the blankie. The next part was the most fun:
I created a mask for the stork and baby, and then stamped a Hero Arts background stamp over the entire mat, following it up with the main image from PTI's "mehndi medallion". And then, to tone down the colors even more (hee!) I gave everything (including the strip of patterned paper) a good rubbing with my antique linen distress ink.
The greeting was nestled under the baby, with the heart stamped right in the center of the medallion. A sweet finishing touch.
Thanks for looking!
