lawnscaping challenge, take 2.
I had so much fun creating my last card, that I thought I'd give it another go for this week's Lawnscaping challenge.
Here, I cut a "T" shaped slit, folded each corner back, shaped, and secured them with a glue dot.
I love a good punny sentiment - this one was printed up on my computer.
A little Thomas-ear-surgery-update: it went so smoothly - we were in hospital at 7am and out by 10am. Wow! And he was so brave - not a tear until he came out of the anesthetic (he howled and was completely disoriented for a solid 10 minutes... but once I cuddled and held him, I think we both felt better.) By supper-time, he was running all around and completely back to normal - thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers.
See you back here tomorrow! The top 15 advancing through to the next round of Gallery Idol will be announced and I'll write a quick note either way :)

This is so cute! That folded back paper technique really gives your cards flair, its great you did it again :) Love the sweet little pieces of toast hopping out of the toaster, and the great sentiment you created! I'm so glad to hear that things went so well with your son's surgery! Here's hoping you make it into the top 15, you have my vote!

ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute - you did a great job with the DP and the sentiment is perfect!!
We went for lunch with friends today, and one of them took Emma (4 in August) to the washroom for me while we were settling the other kids. She asked Emma what she might have for lunch and Emma says, "I don't know, I'll have to look at the menu first." From there, she goes on to tell Joanne that we're going to the zoo and she's going to see a real, big elephant (we're not)... Jo says, "Have you been to the zoo before?" and Emma says, "Yes, 20 years ago when I was a baby."
And no, she's never been to the zoo.
I always think of you now when my kids say these sorts of things!!
GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!!!
