of course. but maybe not when we walk through the door, honey, because your dad has no clue.
ha.
So, after being home for a solid week, I gathered enough energy to print and cut a few decorations and bake a few treats.
(This is the thing. I often get asked how I have the time to do what I do. My best trick is to freeze desserts. The cupcakes and the chocolate chip cookies were defrosted and served. I just had to whip up some frosting, but who doesn't like doing that?)
I made a strawberry buttercream frosting, and I'm still sneaking into the fridge to swipe a finger in the leftovers. so yummy.
I did take the time to make more sugar cookies. They do look cuter smaller!
All of the decorations were printed from HERE.
The dessert that had the whole family in stitches:
Yep. I went there. and my husband kept telling everyone there might be a surprise in one of those cups. guess how many got eaten? ew.
As for my girl, I am happy to say that she had a smile on her face the entire time.
That makes it all worth it.
♥.
I like your idea ) Very cute )
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy to read that!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious, especially the pee cups - how did you sneak out of the hospital with all those? Um, and you need to share the strawberry buttercream frosting recipe. Love to see that Sofia had a great time!
ReplyDeletelol. not sure i can eat the jello. haha. i was totally thinking what Miriam was...how did you get those sample cups? :)
ReplyDeletecan't you just buy them at your local drugstore? I should have asked for a few from the hospital, but I wasn't thinking ahead, lol. Our local pharmacy sells them for something like 60 cents each. My husband looked ridiculous, buying 6-7 of them....the things I make him do :)
