Freestyle Florals {mama elephant stamp highlight}

I can't tell a lie. If you pass by my blog, you know I'm more of a cute-image-lover, rather than a classy-floral-stamp-kind-of-gal.

When I got my Mama Elephant box this month, I went gaga for Bear Hugs and Three Amigos, and nodded appreciatively at Zenith Borders. But Freestyle Florals? I think I rolled my eyes and thought: not another flower stamp set.

Don't be mad, Kryssi & Angela. hee hee.

When I started playing with it, I kind of fell in love. It's fresh and whimsical, because of the hand-drawn nature, and looks beautiful colored or not.

I decided to do some masking and have the florals frame out a sentiment (taken from Bear Hugs.)  I gave the flowers a subtle wash of blue and stamped the sentiment in colors that matched.

It all looks like a piece of stationery to me, something you'd buy at a paper shop.  I love it.

I hope you like it too! Click over to the ME blog to see what the rest of the girls came up with.

    And I totally feel you on the non-critter stamps haha. Even when I fall in love with a floral stamp set, I always feel at a loss for what to do lol.
