A set of thank you cards for an expectant mama - because she's gonna need them.



Nothing too complicated, so they could be easily reproduced.

I die-cut a onesie shaped card, stamped it full of stripes, and added some trim (the details make the outfit, in fashion and in card-making alike!)



The whimsical paper-smooches sentiment wraps on top of the heart.  The period in this sentence is a ballerina pink sequin.

Done.

Make six of them and wrap it up with a bow.

PTI anniversary, day 1.

I don't usually post on Sundays, and I was even reasoning with myself that I have a lot on my creative plate - what with making all of the decor for my little sister's upcoming baby shower - so I might not be able to post much to the old blog this week.... pfffffft!

That was before I remembered it's:

Being in the midst of creating all things baby girl-related, I couldn't help using Melissa's onesie card as my jumping-off point:

(and, as a bonus, her top 5 favorite PTI products).

Here's my take:

I just finished creating those fabric-wrapped-styrofoam-balls last night... perfect for a baby-shower centerpiece, don't you think?  And I love how the onesie card compliments it so well.  I might have to incorporate it all as our centerpiece...

I stamped the pink onesie base with a versamark-layer of "polka-dot basics II", and then the florals and dots from "harvest berries" over-top in fresh snow ink.

The stork is from "bundle of love," and I stamped him off to the side to make room for the grey-tissue-paper hearts.  I sewed a stack of them in place with my sewing machine, so that I could fluff them up a bit.  A pop of whimsical texture...

The sentiment, from "baby button bits," was curved to fit around the oval shape.

Hope you like it!  I guess you'll be seeing alot of PTI on the blog this week ;)

fly away - large baby card.

The hubs asked me to create a card that some 30 people could sign in congratulations of his boss' new baby boy.  It measures 6x10inches - you can tell how big by the size of that onesie shape on the front!

It's a fairly simple card, but I added some little touches to give it a special something: the stitching, the 3 black brads along the bottom of the onesie, and the popped-up plane and banner.  The stamped circle in the middle of the onesie is from "tag its #2."  It didn't show up in the photos, but I used the grid-lines cardstock for the onesie - it adds some subtle interest...

New baby thank yous...

As I'm sure the new mommy will not be checking out my blog in the next few days (you know, between all the feedings, diaperings, and carings for older children...) I think it's safe to post the pictures of a little gift set I'm tucking in with some of the cutest baby clothes!

I used PTI's onesie die to create the shaped card - isn't it cute?  For the card front, I cut out 2 shapes: 1 in blue patterned paper, and another in kraft cardstock - to be able to cut out the extra pieces for the shirt, and the giraffe shape (PTI die).  The giraffe was stamped with SU's A to Z, and the "thank you" sentiment is from one of the flower fusion sets.  I sponged around all of the pieces before assembling the onesie, to give it some depth.
