so happy together

Good Monday morning! I made a little something to show you using Mama Elephant's Happy Everything.  I put it together with a pair of pandas for a cutesy card that makes me happy just to look at it:

so happy together.

I started out by stamping the pandas and used the partial die-cutting technique to keep them joined together.

I then used the matching happy script die and cut it 4 times: twice out of aqua cardstock, once in black, and another time into the circle die-cut that would back the pandas.

so happy together.

I adhered the two aqua layers together for extra thickness, and then glued them onto the black layer, positioning it to look like a shadow.  I then heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment onto vellum and attached the banners in the loops of the big letters.  I love the look!

I hope you like what I created! Thanks for stopping by!

kiss kiss, i love you {mama elephant stamp highlights}

Are you enjoying this week of Mama Elephant stamp highlights so far? The new stamp sets are amazing, and the design team is doing such a great job! I love seeing what the other girls have made.

Today, we're showing off the sentiment set, bountiful blessings, full of fancy,flourishy words.  I wanted to do something a little different. In Pandamonium, the sentiment reads "kiss kiss, i love u." I thought it would be fun to dress it up a bit with the new, super dressed up LOVE from bountiful blessings.

I started out by stamping the sunburst in a teal-blue ink and then I selectively inked up the sentiment from pandamonium on either side of the flourishy "love."

The pandas were then stamped and die cut and placed as close together as possible without looking like one was eating the other. The die-cut outline around the pandas did that to me at first. hee.

I also die-cut a few hearts (from the confetti cuts) and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

I hope you like it!

kiss me, hot lips.

kiss me.

It's a double-posting kind of day! Check out my lawnscaping post *here*

Valentine's Day (aka the holiday of love!) is quickly approaching, and we thought it would be fun to have a little blog hop sharing one of the newest Simon Says Stamp releases called Filled With Love.  This stamp and die set is the result of a new partnership between Simon Says Stamp and Mama Elephant, and is available exclusively at Simon Says Stamp!  The fun jar and candy images, along with all of the great sentiments, are perfect for creating all of your valentine cards and sweet treats!

You know I had to add a bit of cute to my project:

kiss me.

I made a set of 5 jar-shaped cards and had the adorable panda holding a glossy "kiss me" conversation heart.

kiss me.

I love the little tag included in the set! I stamped it full of hugs and kisses and plan on handing these out to my kids and my oldest niece and nephew for some extra kisses on valentine's day.  (I felt like I had to clarify, just in case you were starting to think of me as some sort of hussy, handing out hot lips and kiss me cards inappropriately... ha.)

The hop is sure to inspire! Here is the full list of links:

creative packaging {SSS wednesday challenge}

I can't believe it's already the last Wednesday in January.  Apart from the regular "where does the time go," it means that this is the last time I guest design with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  It has been a thrill!

What better way to sign off, than to feature Mama Elephant stamps on an "anything goes" project!  (ps, I was told, after I submitted my project, that twine is an optional bonus for this challenge.)

As soon as Marlyn (of Montreal Confections) showed me this panda cookie, it was a no-brainer.  I would ink up ME's pandamonium stamp set, and have a match made in crafty heaven.

The packaging was so fun to create.  I started out with a clear box (meant to package card sets!) and cut a piece of blue cardstock to fit inside.   You can see, in the side-view photo, how the blue paper was scored to curl around the inside of the box.  I used ME's landscape trio dies to adhere the clouds and the grassy panels to the front of the box, on the outside. Inside the box, The panda is nestled into paper scraps.  They do the job of filling the empty space and keeping him secure inside the packaging.

I love how the stamped panda is looking adoringly at the flower-holding-cookie panda...

My friend Marlyn created a video tutorial on how to create this panda cookie. Even if you aren't a cookie decorator, click on the link - it's amazing to see her at work!

Simon Says Stamp is giving away a 50$ voucher for this week's challenge.  I hope you join in!
