Hi there!
Welcome to Neat and Tangled's September release week! We're kicking things off with a closer look at Hello Fall, and I've paired it with a set of deer you'll meet later on this week:
I love the big scripty "fall" sentiment and I knew I wanted it front and center on this card. I started out by stamping out all of the images: the deer (from Oh Deer, which will be shown on Wednesday), and a slew of leaves and mushrooms from Into The Woods. There are beautiful leaf images in Hello Fall, but I opted to use these instead because the weight of the black outlines matched better.
On the base layer of white cardstock, I wanted to give some subtle interest without saturating the paper with sponged ink. I opted for the Radiating Star stencil, and I dabbed on the lightest brown ink with very little pressure. I think it helps give more movement to the falling leaves!
I hope you like it! As usual, there are giveaways happening all week:
Visit the NT blog this morning and leave a comment for a chance to win Hello Fall. And, don't forget to leave comments on all of the design team blogs this week - you could win a $25 store gift card come Friday.
