Yeti or not (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week! Today, we're taking a closer look at Yeti Or Not. I used the cute yetis on my card yesterday but I'm so ready to share this snowboarding duo today:

I decided to make a wintery birthday card by bringing in the igloo from Snow Cool and the pile of snowballs from Toboggan Together.

I used blue paper from the Spiffy Speckles collection, and then heat-embossed snowflakes over-top.

let's chill (a penguin party for Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

I'm here and on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning with a simple but very cute penguin party!

The subtle colors made it hard to photograph but it all looks so pretty in real life! I set everything up while my kids were at school, and tore it down before they came home. The decor is tucked away and the cupcakes are in the freezer, waiting for the elf to suggest a little North Pole party one December evening.

I combined images from Snow Cool and Toboggan Together to create all of the decor.

I kept the colors icy: cool blues and subtle light greys.

I cut the letters out of  blue watercolor paper, which looks a little icy! The letters are not a uniform blue, which adds to the wintery theme.

I used the same watercolor paper to cut out the circles for the drink bottles. I can't wait to surprise the kids with everything very soon!

purple for the holidays (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues with a closer look at the Stitched Hillside Backdrops.

I tried to step outside of my red-aqua or red-brown holiday colors and do something a little more moody-in-eggplant:

I did some ink-blending for the base layer, flecked on some white paint, and layered the Stitched Hillside Backdrop over the top.

In one move, the entire layout for the card is taken care of - I love that!  All I had to do was to reach for some cute images and fit them into the hillsides.

I reached for the little snowmen from Ready Set Snow and paired them with the tree from Christmas Dreams as well as a few tiny accessories. The little gingerbread man is my fave, from Holiday Party Animal.

The sentiment, from Snow Cool, seemed to fit with all of the outdoors and snowmen.

stay cool (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's October inspiration week is ongoing, with a closer look at the new Perfectly Plaid Winter paper collection.

I mixed a pattern that sits diagonally with a grid pattern sheet for extra fun. It's a simple card that comes together in a snap, but looks more involved because of all the pattern.

The focal point is a simple scene of a penguin decorating his igloo for Christmas. All images are from Snow Cool.

Snow Cool (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there, and welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week! Today, we're showing off the adorable penguins in Snow Cool.

For this card, I started out by stamping a whole lot of penguins. I colored them all, and couldn't decide which ones to cut. ha. I threw them all onto the card, creating different mini scenes amid the snow banks.

The little couple on the lower right is about to get their date interrupted!
