playing catch-up (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

I missed posting for the first 2 days of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, so settle in for a longer post with more pictures!

I have 3 projects to share. The first one shows off Happy Village:

The Road Border and Grassy Hillside Borders were such a natural match for this stamp set. And the yellow Gotta Have Gingham paper makes this card extra happy and sunny!

My next card features the Peekaboo Backdrop:

I love this die so much! It makes for an easy card-front design that looks so full and fun. I used images from Rub-A-Dub-Dub and back all of the scenes with Gotta Have Gingham paper.

I love the little duck at the bottom checking out the rubber duckie. haha.

My last card features Beam Me Up:

I ditched the pastel colors for more primary colors here. I love that the aliens are bringing the party goodies and waiting to be beamed aboard the party ship!

I hope you like my cards! Check out the LF blog this week for more inspiration from the rest of the team - click!

ps, this is why I missed the first few inspiration week posts:

We're knee-deep into a bathroom renovation! A few weeks ago, our kitchen ceiling started leaking onto my hubby's head so we had to rip up the kids' bathroom right above. It's been a bit chaotic!

We spent Friday and Saturday filling nail holes, caulking a million joints, and painting these beautiful new moldings. The plumber comes back tomorrow to start putting things back together - yay!

♥.

  1. I love the way you used yellow gingham in the first card. And the curved road gives it movement. In the second, I love that it tells a story. The third, wow, that black background really makes everything pop. Your aliens look dimensional so good job of coloring them! Yuck on the reno. We have been adding an "apartment" in our basement for about five+ years now. So far the only thing we have finished is a bedroom. We still have to mud and tape the drywall, put up moulding, and finish installing the doors, but it's still complete, right? The other rooms are going to be a kitchen area and living room combined. Our bathroom was already finished down there but we need to make walls for a hallway to the room. And finally, we are going to wall off our storage and put a train layout/ game room in the last part. Who knows, maybe we'll finish some day. Oh, did I say we are trying to do it all by ourselves. Yeah. Not our best idea.

    1. that sounds like a huge job! and wow that you’re doing it all yourselves! we outsource most of our renovations, except for painting and caulking :) we do our own moldings too, but the rest - how do you find the time? I can totally understand it’s been 5 years in the making! good luck with everything, and thanks for sharing your story!
