Boo To You! (Avery Elle new release blog hop)

 Hi there!

I am so excited for today's blog hop and new release! It feels like I've been sitting on these fall and winter sets for so long. I typically illustrate my sets a good 4-5 months in advance, so when I say a long time, I mean a long time! Fall and winter sets are always my favorites of the entire year, and I hope you love them as much as I do!

Today, I'm showcasing a set I designed, Boo To You. My first card features that big pumpkin frame:

Boo To You! (Avery Elle new release!)

The frame is pretty big, and can work with a lot of your existing halloween stamps! I'm definitely thinking beyond this one set. But this set features a few cuties, including this little kitty in a witch costume. I did some ink blending inside the pumpkin frame, popped in the cat and a couple of stars and added a few spiders to finish off the card.

My second card features the animals from the set, minus the big pumpkin frame:

I colored the cat and pirate dog, and added a little mouse friend to complete their trio. I did some ink blending on the starry die-cut layer and added a ground beneath the critters. A simple stamped sentiment finishes off this card.

I hope you like my cards! All of the new products are available at online retailers or the AE store - click!

New Slimline dies! (Lawn Fawn fall/winter release week)

 Hi there!

To celebrate the new release, we're showing off some of the new Slimline Simple Stitched Hillside Borders:

I pulled in the kids from Tiny Christmas, stamped a few trees from different sets, and set them against rolling hills of white snow. To really complete the winter wonderland feel, I added snow-capped mountains to the background.

snow much fun (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week)

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's fall/winter release week! We're teasing new products all week long, ahead of the September 10th release - hey! that's tomorrow!

Today is our showcase of Snow Much Fun, a super cute set that you can use with coordinating interactive dies to make the bear's arms flap up and down. I opted (surprise, surprise) to use the set alone, but it's still super cute:

I started out by stamping all of the bears, and coloring them. I paper-pieced the scarves on the 2 big bears, and drew in the missing lines so that you wouldn't be able to see the white die-cut outline. I positioned one bear's arms pointing up and the other's pointing down so you would still get the snow angel effect.

I did some ink blending on a card-front layer, in Kiddie Pool ink, and cut into it with the snow angel dies. Below it, I stamped the snow angel outlines in the same ink and use a matching Copic marker to gently blend that together.

To finish off, I added a frame from the new Let It Shine paper pad - the same strip that I used on one of the bear's scarves. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and just snipped into little rectangles that I adhered to the card. For a final touch, I flecked white paint over the entire card front. The tiny bear at the bottom got a little too much right in his eye, ha.

hedgehogs! (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week)

 Hi there!

Welcome back to Lawn Fawn's fall/winter release week - only a few more sleeps until everything hits the store on September 10th!

Today is our showcase of the Acorn House and Tiny Gift Box Hedgehog Add On. I had already used the Acorn House on a card this week, so I opted to try out the little hedgie box instead:

hedgehogs! (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week)

I did a tiny bit of selective die-cutting - you'll notice the mouth is missing! I only cut as far as the end of the nose and stopped there. It takes a bit of rotating and passing it through the die-cutter in little stages, but I liked that I could give him a different look!

I cut all of the pieces out of white cardstock and used copic markers to color him in. In real life, it's very soft and cute. I won't lie, not loving how the pictures turned out.

The box has panels to attach to all sides of the hedgehog, I love all of the detail!

thanks thanks thanks! (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week)

 Hi there!

Today is doubly exciting! We're still showing off products from the fall/winter collection but today is also Lawn Fawn's Stamptember release day! I didn't get my set in time to make anything but here it is:

If you're wondering at the larger price tag this year, it's because the set is bigger - a 6x8 stamp set! I think it's adorable. The rest of the design team knocked it out of the park with their samples. And just remember, if you like it, that it's only available at SSS and only while quantities last!

Now, back to today's post. I paired up sentiments from Thanks Thanks Thanks with my favorite bears:

thanks, thanks, thanks (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week!)

I did some moodier ink blending for this card. The rust color around the edges is meant to make it feel like they are underground. yes? I filled up the entire slimline width with images and sentiments and I think it turned out so sweet.

foxy costumes (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week)

 Hi there!

Welcome to another day of the Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week! We're showing off the new collection all week long, and everything will hit the store on September 10th.

Today is our showcase of Fox Costumes Before 'n Afters, as well as the new Trick Or Treat Line Border.

The set is meant for you to be able to make cool, interactive cards. But interactive cards aren't always my thing, and this set is super cute without extra tricks. I pulled out the Foursquare Backdrop and set little scenes into each one. Some blue and purple ink blending, as well as the black Spooky Fence Border, helped to set the stage for my scenes.

This is definitely my favorite duo - ack! I can't wait to use them on a birthday card.

Hibernating (Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter new release week!)

 Hi there!

Welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn's Fall and Winter new release week! We're showing off the new collection all week long, and it will be available for purchase as of September 10th.

Today is our showcase of Den Sweet Den and the nesting Stitched Den Dies.

Hibernating (Lawn Fawn fall/winter new release week!)

Aren't they so sweet? I love how the den dies look when they are layered - the stitching outline at every layer adds so much depth. I also cut a layer of mountains, so that it looks like they are sleeping way underground, and ink blended in cool blues, purples and brown.

Inside their den, I gave them some milk and cookies (from Ho-Ho-Holidays) and a carpet to sleep on (from Christmas Dreams). The stack of books and big heart are from the Den Sweet Den set.

I really love how this card came together and I hope you like it too!

Shutter card (Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter release week!)

 Hi there!

Welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn's Fall/Winter release week! We're showing off their new collection all week long, and everything will be available for purchase as of September 10th.

Today is our showcase of the new Shutter Card dies. I paired it with more of those cute squirrels and an acorn house die you'll see more of soon:

Shutter card (Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter release week!)

You create a gate-fold card, with a band that you remove to open the card. I tried to decorate the outside to match the inside.

When you open the card, a shutter opens! revealing an inside surprise.

Shutter card (Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter release week!)

I did some ink-blending in soft colors, leading down to a stenciled grassy area. I tried to blend all of the panels so that the scene would be seamless. I also flipped the middle panel upside down (you'll understand if you look at the rest of the design team's samples) so that I could fit the big acorn house in the middle. If you look closely, you'll see I had to add score-lines to the top of the acorn house so that everything would fold nicely and work with the card mechanics.

oh, nuts! Lawn Fawn Fall and Winter Release Week!

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's Fall/Winter New Release week! We're showing off new products all week long, and everything will be available as of September 10th.

Before I dive in, I just want to say that if you try to leave me a comment (and I hope you do, I always love reading them!) you will notice that I'm making you jump through an extra hoop or 2. In the last 4-ish months, my blog has been overrun by really obscene bot comments. I have been marking everything as spam, but I had to take these extra steps to make sure that I only see (and YOU only see) sweet comments and nothing that looks like it came from Pornhub. so gross.

On to today's showcase: Let's Go Nuts, and Lift The Flap Tree Backdrop!

Let's Go Nuts! (New Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter release week)

That squirrel with his arms up in the airs is my fave! Aren't they adorable? I did a very muted sky behind the tree using Kiddie Pool and Doe inks.

I used a soft brown copic marker to add some interest to the trees, and then built my scene in front of the tree backdrop.

Let's Go Nuts! (New Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter release week)

When the flaps are opened, there are more surprises! I really love this new backdrop die, I can see using it a lot!
