even more stories {avery elle}

Hey friends, thank you so much for your kind encouragement and excitement on Saturday's post. I couldn't have been grinning any wider all day.

I'm still playing around with the new Avery Elle set, More Stories, and the partial die-cut technique.



I love how the animals all look wistful, glancing up and away.  I couldn't help but pair the fox with a sentiment that matched his face.



I stamped the sentiment banner first, masked it, and then stamped the fox to nestle in behind.  Lots of layering on this card...I'm still trying to figure out if it all works.

One thing I know for sure is that I love those lawn fawn wood veneer leaves.

I'm so happy I had time to play with new stamps, just because.  The little critters in Avery Elle's More Stories are so whimsical and cute! They are hand-drawn to perfection by my friend Heather.

It may seem like a very simple card, but the die-cutting was a little tricky. I stamped the banner, masked in the bunny, and stamped a kite to go along with. And then I die-cut it to look like a single image. I watched the video Pamela made for Mama Elephant and I decided to try it out. I'm hooked. It looks so much cleaner than having the white outlines around every individual image, and so cute to be able to float this image inside a circle aperture.
