25 days of Christmas tags! with Lawn Fawn

Hi there!

I'm so happy to be joining Tracey McNeely's 25 days of Christmas tags, with Lawn Fawn sponsoring today's event.

I created a set of cozy cabin tags, using just dies for the most part:

I used the Shadow Box Card Mountain Add-On for all of the die-cut elements on the tags. I cut the cabin, the trees and some mountains, and used copic markers to add little bits of shading to colored cardstock.

The black night sky (cut with the Snowy Backdrop die) really allowed the elements to pop.

I hope you like them! Thanks for stopping by!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

Hi there!

I am so excited for you to check out the Avery Elle winter release! And what better way, than with a blog hop!

I have 2 projects to show off, using a new set that I illustrated for Avery Elle - Cupids!

I stamped out 2 of the cupids, a sweet little bird, and a slew of clouds, and placed them onto a piece of pink paper. I then framed out the images using a Wonky Scalloped Frame die.

The frame, the cupids, and the bird were propped up on foam adhesive squares, to give the card some dimension. To finish off, I used a white gel pen to add some bokeh dots to the pink sky.

When I designed this set, I really intended it to be used for class valentines! Most of the sentiments speak to friendship, and the whole thing works perfectly when paired with one of the the new Party Tag dies.

Aren't these lollipops so perfect? I kept to a red and pink theme, to match them. The trail of hearts image included in the cupid set is my fave! I stamped it onto the tag twice, without re-inking the stamp a second time. It gives a subtle, gradient effect.

I hope you like what I created for you today! Everything from the new release is available in the store right now - click HERE to check it out!

Merry Mice kit (Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

It's day 2 of this year's Lawn Fawn holiday inspiration week and we have a surprise for you: a new Chibitronics kit! The kit comes with a limited-edition stamp set, called Merry Mice, some patterned paper, and everything you need to make it LIT.

I decided to show you how cute the set could be on its own, without any special light-up-engineering:

Merry Mice kit! (Lawn Fawn)

Isn't it adorable? I love it. I grabbed quite a few holiday sets and put together a very MICE Christmas scene. The string of lights and santa hat images are from Cheery Christmas, and the clinking holiday mugs are from Holiday Helpers.

I love the blue Snowy Backdrop layer, and all of the red accents! I hope you like it too! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for so many fun Merry Mice cards today - click!

November EBE release!

Hi there!

I'm thrilled to be taking part in this month's EBE release blog hop! I really loved the products I got to work with - so let's take a closer look!

For my first card, I used sentiments from That Thing You Did, and created a birthday card by borrowing images from Subbing In, Backyard Party, and Good Times:

I made a little underwater scene, and made sure to keep the funny sentiments front and center. I totally thought I'd be handing this to my dad, or my husband, but my 9 year old daughter snapped it up to give to her friend... which made it even more hilarious.

It really doesn't take much to bring the party to any other stamp set: a balloon image, some presents, and cake! and you have a party.

I kept things soft and beautiful for my next card:

I just love this cluster of wildflowers that Brandi designed for In The Weeds. It is large and gorgeous, but because each flower is delicate, it doesn't require a lot of time to color.

I added panels stamped with a soft knit pattern to the top and bottom of the card, and allowed the wilflowers to overhang into the middle space. I stamped a simple sentiment to finish things off.

25 days of Christmas tags, with Avery Elle

Hi there!

I'm so happy to be joining Tracey McNeely's 25 days of Christmas tags, with Avery Elle sponsoring today's event.

I used the title image from Santa Bear to create these tags:

I stamped the bear in Lawn Fawn's Crunchy Leaf ink and then colored everything, including the night-sky background, with copic markers. I really love how soft the image turned out, as a consequence of making a swap in the outline color!

Once I had everything colored, I went in with a white gel pen and added some snowflakes and dots to the background, and some highlights to the images.

I die-cut the image with the rounded tag die from the Classic Flags die set, and added the sentiment onto a small banner die found in the same collection. I cut off one side of the banner, and used a hand-held hold punch to be able to add it to the top of the tag.
