Merry Mice kit (Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

It's day 2 of this year's Lawn Fawn holiday inspiration week and we have a surprise for you: a new Chibitronics kit! The kit comes with a limited-edition stamp set, called Merry Mice, some patterned paper, and everything you need to make it LIT.

I decided to show you how cute the set could be on its own, without any special light-up-engineering:

Isn't it adorable? I love it. I grabbed quite a few holiday sets and put together a very MICE Christmas scene. The string of lights and santa hat images are from Cheery Christmas, and the clinking holiday mugs are from Holiday Helpers.

I love the blue Snowy Backdrop layer, and all of the red accents! I hope you like it too! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for so many fun Merry Mice cards today - click!

Elf party (for Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

Last week, I put together a little hot chocolate night for all of the little cousins, using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn to decorate.

Elf party (for Lawn Fawn)

We're still using our handmade elf, and he was the star of this show. I made a little sign for him to hold, and stuck him into a Christmas wreath.

The cutest part of the party decorations was this elf banner! I made it using a mix of dies from Lawn Fawn and stamped the face (from Let's Toast.)

A rainbow Christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week! Today is our showcase of, among other things, the Really Rainbow Christmas paper pack. I knew right away that I could pair a page with the cutie elves from Holiday Helpers for a whimsical design:

A rainbow Christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

I just can't get enough of these elves - and I really like them hanging out with mugs of hot chocolate, lol. I keep using them on my cards this month! I have them standing outside in the snow, amid a forest of trees (from Winter Skies.)

I love the bright polka-dot paper sky behind them!

I flanked the paper on the top and bottom with some white woodgrain cardstock, and added a little snowbank behind the elves.

On the trees themselves, I used the new embossing pen and textured white embossing powder to give the look of snow-covered trees.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the LF blog this morning - click!

a cozy christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to another day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week. Today, we're showing off the Reveal Wheel Square Add-On dies:

a cozy christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

The Reveal Wheel creates an interactive card design, where the sentiment changes as you turn the wheel. And, take it from someone who is "challenged" in the interactive card-making department: it's really easy to use!

I imagined a little lounge area in the North Pole, where the elves could come in and take a break. They would make a plate of cookies for Santa too, right?  I used images from Christmas Dreams and the little elf from Holiday Helpers.

When you turn the wheel, the other sentiments are revealed. It's so fun!

I hope you like the cozy little Christmas scene I've created for you. Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration today - click!

Working elves (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week! Today is their showcase of Holiday Helpers, and I'm re-posting a card I had made back in July for their sneak peek week:

Holiday helpers (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

I used the Peekaboo Backdrop die to create little vignettes within each opening. The little boy elves are hanging out, playing in the boxes, drinking hot chocolate, while the girl elves are doing all the work. haha.

I created all of the little scenes, and then set them against a blue gingham paper background.

I love the little slit in the box, so that toys (or elves) can be tucked in! So fun!

Holiday Helpers (Stamptember! Neat and Tangled/SSS collab)

Hi there!

We're thrilled to be a part of the most exciting month of exclusive stamp releases... STAMPTEMBER!  The amazing Simon Says team asked me to illustrate a set again this year, and I'm happy to show off Holiday Helpers today:

I've been wanting to put a Santa hat on that mouse for a very long time. hee.

This set is so perfect for building scenes! I have 3 projects to show off to you today:

Stamptember! Neat and Tangled/SSS collab

My first shows off the mice building a snowman, under the bear's watchful eye. I love the one mouse up on a tree stump to reach high enough!

The other mouse is patting in extra snow, I think.

My second card shows off the same kind of scene, except that the mouse on the right has the stump, and is waiting to be able to put a hat on the snowman's head. I did some masking to be able to layer the scene without dies, and doodled in some extra snow beneath the feet of the bear and mouse on the left.

I used a distress oxide ink for the blue sky, and flicked water and white paint on top for the snow.

My third project is a simple tag, but so cute with this little scene stamped out!

I hope you like the set I illustrated! It's on sale right now EXCLUSIVELY at Simon Says Stamp, and only until quantities last. In the past few years, they've sold out of our set within a few days, so hurry!

Holiday Helpers (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn is showing off their Fall/Winter release all week long! Everything shown this week will be for sale at the end of August.

Today's I'm showing off the cute little elves that you've already been eyeing in the sneak peek banner. I love them so much! Holiday Helpers is an adorable set, with mirror imaged girl and boy elves and all kinds of toy-shop accessories.

I also used the Holiday Helpers elves along with the Say What? Christmas Critters and Say What? Gift Tags to make a fun set of Christmas tags.

I love these tags! They are small (read, easy to put together,) but not too small, with room for images without crowding the recipient's name. I love that you can make shaker tags out of them! I kept it simple for my first time out.

I love how the holiday colors really pop against the simple white tag. I hope you like what I've created for you today! Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog this morning for all of the sneak peeks - CLICK!
