Merry Mice kit (Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

It's day 2 of this year's Lawn Fawn holiday inspiration week and we have a surprise for you: a new Chibitronics kit! The kit comes with a limited-edition stamp set, called Merry Mice, some patterned paper, and everything you need to make it LIT.

I decided to show you how cute the set could be on its own, without any special light-up-engineering:

Isn't it adorable? I love it. I grabbed quite a few holiday sets and put together a very MICE Christmas scene. The string of lights and santa hat images are from Cheery Christmas, and the clinking holiday mugs are from Holiday Helpers.

I love the blue Snowy Backdrop layer, and all of the red accents! I hope you like it too! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for so many fun Merry Mice cards today - click!

Twins 1st Christmas

Hi there!

I know when my sister has those twins baby girls (which will be within the next 3 or so weeks!) that they won't care too much for my Christmas card, but I couldn't help myself. I mean - TWINS! I am so excited.

I used images from Cheery Christmas and the onesies from Little Bundle to create this card. The teeny stamps found in Plan On It: Holidays were perfect for decorating the little onesies.

The sentiment was a mash-up of different ones, and I had to creatively add an "s" to girls, but I think it turned out so sweetly. My favorite light-bulb moment was wrapping the strings of lights around the sentiment banner.

I hope you like it! The twins will likely just drool on it.

Cheery Christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hey there! Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues! Today, we're showing off the crittery holiday set, Cheery Christmas.

Cheery Christmas (lawn fawn inspiration week)

I went for a punch of color with a deep red background, cut using the Snowy Backdrop die.

The little stacked animals are the cutest!

As I often do, I used a black copic-friendly pen to draw in all of the intersecting lines so that the animal totem pole would look as seamsless as possible.

It's a plaid Christmas (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there! Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week is in full swing! Today, we're showing off the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper collection.

I came up with this quirky little number:

I rounded up alllll of the reindeer (from Toboggan Together and Cheery Christmas) and had them peek out of little framed squares.

Since the plaid is so busy, I keep the colors to a tight red, kraft, and green scheme. The square backs were colored in green to give the reindeer some pop, although I think I could have found a better matching green!

pop-up halloween card (lawn fawn inspiration week)

Hi there, and welcome back to our final day of Lawn Fawn's August inspiration week. Do you know what that means? The entire fall/winter release becomes available TOMORROW. woo hoo!

The design team is going out in style, with everyone using the new Everyday Pop-Ups and Stitched Hillside Pop-Up dies to create fancy cards.

I'm usually such a lazy crafter, but this was fun! I used the dress-up clothes from Happy Howloween, but put them on the little reindeer from Toboggan Together for something different:

The card-front is pretty plain, but that's so you can be really surprised when you open it up to find allllll of this:

The Toboggan Together reindeer met up with his friends from the new Cheery Christmas set for Halloween! I love that the little tutus and other accessories can fit on other critters!

I cut a starry night sky out of blue paper, and then rubbed our Deep Sea ink around the edges to give it more depth.

A little tip: the contrast of the white border around each die-cut was too jarring next to the dark hillsides and dark blue sky so I inked around the edges of each critter to make everything blend better. I also lightened up the heavy black elements with the help of a white gel pen. It helped create balance between the light and dark elements.

I hope you like it!

cute pie! (lawn fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

I'm back with the Lawn Fawn team, highlighting the mini set, Cutie Pie.

I created a little scene in between 2 strips of plaid patterned paper. The little squirrels from Cheery Christmas are holding up a little banner in front of the pie.
