hello sunshine! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

I love, love, love the blue grid paper - it makes a perfect sky! I used a Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circle Window to frame the bunny in the basket, and grounded all of the images with the new Meadow Backdrop die. The images are from Easter Before 'N Afters. It's an adorable little set!

super star! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's February inspiration week continues with a closer look at the super fun Magic Iris die. I showed off this picture last month for the sneak peek week, but I'm so happy to revisit it again! I saw quite a few people pick up this card and play with it at the Creativation show!

Have a dandy day! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to day 1 of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week. All of the products shown this week (and, the rest of the spring release!) will be available for purchase as of February 20th. We're almost there!

Today, we're showing off Dandy Day:

I love this set for scene-building! I wanted a pop of color and to introduce an element of symmetry, so I brought in the mushrooms from Forest Feast and popped a mouse onto each one. The one mouse is blowing dandelion pods to the other one, who is ready to catch them! The net is from Butterfly Kisses.

I couldn't help but use a sheet of Dandy Day paper for the sky!

(another) Avery Elle blog hop!

Hi there!

Yesterday's blog hop was so much fun, I'm joining in with some of the Ellen Hutson team to show Avery Elle even more love! The new release deserves another celebration!

The entire new release from Avery Elle is available in the Ellen Hutson store right now: click! And, to celebrate, they are running a promotion! Spend $50 or more on Avery Elle products from February 6-9, and receive $10 to use on your next order! Sweet!

I have a few cards to share with you today!

The first is another Astronauts card because I did get a little carried away when making samples:

I used a sheet of ombre paper from AE's new spring collection paper pad, and flicked on some white ink before cutting into it with a stitched circle die. I then created a stellar party scene in the negative space. I tucked the rocket balloon behind the crater so it looks like the astronaut just landed for a party!

For my second card, I used the moon image from the astronauts set, the new Constellation Scene die set, and the new Invitation Frame die to create this cute invite:

This one came together so quickly! I covered my card-stock panel with a length of Altenew's watercolor nebula washi tape and then cut into it with all of the constellations from the Constellation Scene die set. Then, I layered the invitation frame and "you're invited" sentiment over the top before adding the adorable moon and starry images.

For my last card, I reached for another new set, Beary Good Friends:

I just think this set turned out so sweet. The bigger bear is lying down in the grass and other animals can sit on his belly (or dance on his belly, if you use the little mice included in the set!) Here, the 2 friends are sharing a moment. I stamped and fussy-cut an extra bear arm, and glued it over the base arm layer - I wanted it to look like the fox was really cradled in there!

I hope you like what I created today! I hope you'll have a great time blog hopping and Avery-Elle-shopping today!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

Hi there!

I am beyond excited for the new release of the spring collection over at Avery Elle! Everything new can be purchased right now in their store, or through your favorite retailer.

I designed 4 stamp sets in this collection, which was shown off last month at the Creativation show:

Beary Good Friends, Hot Dog, Astronauts, and a little Easter mini called Hoppy Easter:

Today, I'm showing off a little out-of-this-world inspiration! I have 3 cards to share, all using the new Astronauts stamp set:

When I was drawing this set, I had in mind that the astronaut could hold hands with the alien - I love how it turned out! I did some ink blending with Oxide inks for the background and flicked water over it to get that bokeh reaction.  I also flicked white paint on top to give it more of a galaxy look.

I love that crater/moon image - just a tiny bit of shading using some light grey copic markers is all it takes!

My second card shows off the 3rd astronaut and a few other images from the set:

The moon is handing the astronaut his birthday cake and they both have party hats! I also have the astronaut holding a rocket balloon and used a party-ready sentiment from the set. It's hard to tell from the photo, but I covered the astronaut's face with glossy accents - it's so fun in real life!

Behind the images, I used a new die that is meant to coordinate with this stamp set: the Constellation Scene die set. It's a must-have, in my opinion! I love the wonky shape of the outline die, and then I cut into the shape using all of the constellation dies. Such a fun way to add a galaxy background!

My 3rd card features 2 of the astronauts together in space:

This post is getting a little long-winded so all I'll say about this one is I love them together! It would make for cute class valentines for next year (or this year if you run last minute!)

If you made it this far - you're a star! I'm last on the blog hop list for today, but in case you came here out of order, here's a full list!
