Christmas morning place settings (with Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

I love creating special touches for holidays that will make all the little eyes in my house sparkle. I know when my 3 littles ones come downstairs on Christmas morning, seeing the table dressed up will make the morning that much more magical.

I stamped my little heart out, using Lawn Fawn's Gingham Backdrops in black ink on red cardstock to make my buffalo plaid decorations.

I used a piece of black 12x12 scrapbooking paper for the placemat, and added die-cut snowflakes to set the scene.

The little bear from Dad + Me got the holiday treatment with the addition of a little Santa hat.

The monogrammed plaid gable boxes make me very happy. Each one has a pair of new Christmas socks inside. Who doesn't want to start the day with cute & warm toes?

And, while they wait for Christmas morning waffles (the request has already been put in) they can enjoy one of the elves' main food groups: candy cane!

I hope you like my Christmas morning place-settings and I hope I've inspired you to create something special for your holiday table!

sealed with a kiss (Lawn Fawn Black Friday promo set!)

Hi there!

I hope you are ready for some pretty sweet Black Friday shopping! Lawn Fawn is offering something that you won't be able to pass up:

Sealed with a Kiss is an adorable mini set that you won't be able to buy, but you can get it for free!

sealed with a kiss (lawn fawn black friday promo set!)

I didn't get the dies on time, but just the stamp set alone is so fun to work with. I stamped the seals onto the ice block from Critters in the Arctic, and then masked everything to stamp the water beneath it all (the pond image from Dad + Me.)

The only thing that I popped up is the little hat on the seal, from Critters in the Arctic.

I also created a little holiday tag featuring the seals in the same set-up:

I went through my stamps little hats that the seals could wear, from the exclusive SSS/LF collab set, Happy Howlidays.  If you were lucky enough to snag yourself a set, the hat and reindeer antlers work perfectly for these seals!

I love that little M'WAH bubble, I'll be using it for valentine cards for sure!

swan rides (Avery Elle)

Hi there!

I'm here and on the Avery Elle blog this morning with a card featuring the new Swans stamp set.

love swans

Isn't that couple the cutest? I stamped, colored and die-cut the focal image and used the pierced cloud borders as waves for the swan to wade through.

The background was created using distress inks and then splattered with water.

I used pinks and blues to keep the whole card looking like a perfect sweet Valentine.

I hope you like it!

Merry and bright

Hi there!

I made a card using the new Santa's Wonderland set in a bit of a different way:

merry and bright

I did some selective inking and next-level masking to get the snowman and Santa squished in together.

Here's what they look like in the stamp set:

Santa is holding a tree and the snoman has his arms full of Christmas decorations.

merry and bright

Step 1: ink up the snowman and wipe off the ink on everything outside his body.

Step 2: re-draw one outstretched arm using a copic-friendly pen. mask the snowman.

Step 3: ink up Santa, and carefully wipe off the tree. this is tricky, I won't lie.

Step 4: mask Santa and color the background with a copic airbrush system. cover up any stray lines with embossing paste and a snow-fall stencil. (If you look closely, you can see the snow right near his mitten. That was very necessary.)

Step 5: Stand back and admire your efforts! I love achieving new looks with my stamps, and I hope this inspires you to do something different with yours.

Reindeer games (with new Neat and Tangled)

Hi there!

I'm here and on the NT blog this morning with a fun little card featuring the snowman-making reindeer from Santa's Wonderland.

reindeer games

The poor little reindeer is concentrating so hard on building his snowman that he doesn't notice what is coming his way. ha!

I built my scene onto a tag (the Classic Tag 1 die.) The patterned paper I used on the tag looks like falling snow, and helps all of the whites (like the snow ball and the mounds of snowballs) really pop.

The images are grounded with a bit of pom-pom trim.

The graphic background paper is so fun, and perfect for a card featuring the freezing temperatures of the north pole!

I hope you like my card, and thanks for stopping by!

25 days of Christmas tags (with Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

I'm thrilled to be taking part in Tracey Mcneely's 25 days of Christmas tags event. I showed off some Neat and Tangled tags yesterday (click!) and today I'm back with Lawn Fawn ones.

I just love making tags out of the snowglobe image from Ready, Set, Snow

25 days of Christmas tags (with Lawn Fawn)

The little Frosty Fairy Friends are working hard to get you everything on that list!

25 days of Christmas tags (with Lawn Fawn)

I colored the snowglobe base in a light grey, popped some bright aqua "snow" behind the fairies and colored the rest with pops of Christmas red.

The little tag at the top is from the Sprinkled With Joy die set.

25 Days of Christmas Tags (with Neat and Tangled)

Hi there!

I'm thrilled to be taking part in Tracey Mcneely's 25 days of Christmas tags event. My 2 favorite companies are slotted back-to-back, with Neat and Tangled today and Lawn Fawn tomorrow. woot!

I used the bear from Beary Merry to create this rustic tag set:

25 days of Christmas tags!

He is holding images from the same set, but I also slid the new Santa doll (from Elfs and Their Shelf) into his arms - so cute, right?

25 days of Christmas tags!

The tag shape is from Neat and Tangled - Classic Tag 1 - and I used a rectangle die to cut an opening into the top tag.

25 days of Christmas tags!

I cut a matching tag out of red cardstock to layer underneath and stamped a plaid pattern in black ink. The entire tag has so much dimension!

Twins 1st Christmas

Hi there!

I know when my sister has those twins baby girls (which will be within the next 3 or so weeks!) that they won't care too much for my Christmas card, but I couldn't help myself. I mean - TWINS! I am so excited.

twins 1st christmas

I used images from Cheery Christmas and the onesies from Little Bundle to create this card. The teeny stamps found in Plan On It: Holidays were perfect for decorating the little onesies.

twins 1st christmas

The sentiment was a mash-up of different ones, and I had to creatively add an "s" to girls, but I think it turned out so sweetly. My favorite light-bulb moment was wrapping the strings of lights around the sentiment banner.

I hope you like it! The twins will likely just drool on it.

Happier Than (Neat and Tangled release)

Hi there!

It's the last day of design team projects for this month's Neat and Tangled release. All new products will be in the store as of tomorrow morning, 8am EST. yay!

Today is our showcase of the fun new sentiment set, Happier Than.

Happier Than (Neat and Tangled release)

When I read through the sentiments, it was a no-brainer that I would pair it with our kitty and box die.

Happier Than (Neat and Tangled release)

I popped YOU MAKE ME into a banner (from our exclusive Stamptember set, which is no longer available) and gave the kitty a little mouse to hold.

Happier Than (Neat and Tangled release)

The sentiment is so large-scale that I overlapped it onto the box. I love the fonts!

I hope you like my card today! There's more to see on the NT blog this morning - click!

Merry and Bright Ornament (Neat and Tangled release week)

Hi there!

It's day 3 of this month's release week over at Neat and Tangled. We're showing off the 3x4 Merry and Bright Ornament that Danielle illustrated. It's a great size for a simple and stunning focal point.

Or even better for elf sitting:

Merry and Bright Ornament (Neat and Tangled release week)

They come in like a wrecking ball.

ha.

Merry and Bright Ornament (Neat and Tangled release week)

I cut the Merry and Bright ornament stamp a bit, to remove the words MAY YOUR, so that I could have room to place my elves.  I stamped the words a little to the left, and I could always fit the pieces together and stamp them as originally intended if I wanted to in the future.

Merry and Bright Ornament (Neat and Tangled release week)

I wanted the elves to look seamless on top of the ornament, so after they were die-cut, I masked them and, using the MISTI tool, stamped the ornament on top.

I just love Danielle's whimsical ornament! There is more to see on the NT blog this morning - click!

Elfs And Their Shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

Hi there!

We're on day 2 of this month's Neat and Tangled release week - the last release for NT this year!

Yesterday, we showed off the first of my sets for this month, Santa's Wonderland (click HERE if you missed it.)

Today, we're showing off Elfs And Their Shelf (yes elfs, not elves. I thought it sounded so much cuter!)

This set is so much fun to play with that I couldn't stop at one card!

elfs and their shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

If you are familiar with my digital stamp etsy shop, these elves will look familiar. But I did change them out of their pyjamas and into elvish day clothes. ha. I colored this guy in Buddy the Elf colors (the green is a bit more limey, though!) and sat him on his shelf next to the little Santa doll. I think they make a cute pair!

elfs and their shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

The sentiment is from last month's Beary Merry set. I think it is the perfect size. Like on yesterday's card, I made a frame out of the largest Scalloped die. I have to stop myself from using those dies on every card!

For my second card, I sat both elves on their shelf:

elfs and their shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

I love them together! I colored them in red, and set them against a blue snowy backdrop. A sequined-snowy backdrop.

elfs and their shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

Shake it, shake it!

My last project is a very simple tag, using the last elf from the set:

elfs and their shelf (Neat and Tangled release week)

The last elf sits over a blank box, and you could pop someone's name inside or a fun sentiment. It's perfect for smaller gifts. I only created a girl version for the set, but if you'd be interested in a boy like this, let me know in the comments! I could be persuaded to whip up the file as a digi and put it up in the shop.

I hope you love Elfs And Their Shelf! Check out the NT blog this morning for even more inspiration - click!

Santa's Wonderland (Neat and Tangled release week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Neat and Tangled's November release week - the final new release of 2016! All new products will hit the NT store on Friday, November 11th at 8am, EST.

I designed 2 sets this month, which are probably my favorites of the year. I can't help it, since Christmas crafting is everything. errrrything.

The first set I illustrated is called Santa's Wonderland, and has everything you need to make the perfect snowy Christmas scene:

I couldn't help but create my first card to fully show off that Santa:

Santa's Wonderland (Neat and Tangled release week)

I just love him, with his leg up in air, trotting that tree home. His nose is a little red from the cold. hee. The presents image is from a set you'll see tomorrow, and they work perfectly with this set too!

By cutting a smaller rectangle into the larger scalloped die, I created a lot of depth on the card. Santa and his snowy scene are nestled inside.

Santa's Wonderland (Neat and Tangled release week)

I varied the dimension within the scene to create more interest. The black sentiment banner (also from Scalloped) gives a nice punch to the whole card.

I hope you love Santa's Wonderland. The design team has created the most wonderful samples. Check them out on the Neat and Tangled blog - click!

New holiday digis (just ME digital stamps)

Hi there!

I'd like to introduce you to a few new faces. You can find them in the Just ME digital stamps Etsy shop - click!

My first new design features a bear and snowman duo. They can be seen holding hands,

new digi images for the holidays! (just ME digital stamps)

or a string of ornaments,

new digi images for the holidays! (just ME digital stamps)

or even the word NOEL.

The digital files include the bear on his own and the snowman on his own, in case you'd like to mix and match with other images.

But honestly. The cutest, when they're holding hands, right?

My second digi listing is for a llama. A festive, fa la la-ing llama.

I love the super long neck! How many times could that scarf loop around? ha.

And if holiday red isn't your thing, she look cute in softer colors too.
