Magic Iris Birdhouse (Lawn Fawn Valentine release week)

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's Valentine release week! We're teasing the new products all week long, ahead of the December 10th release.

Today, we're showing you the Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On. I think the die set is so lovely even without the original Magic Iris interactive dies:

I cut all of the pieces out of white cardstock, and used Copic markers to add color to everything. I also used the Woodgrain Backdrop die to add texture to the main body of the birdhouse. I did some heavy shading on the inside of the birdhouse to show depth and to make the bird really pop in the front.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the LF blog this morning - click!

Magic Iris Snow Globe (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

 Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's October inspiration week! We're taking a closer look at items from the new release all week long, and hoping to inspire you to use them in new ways.

Today is our showcase of the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On dies:

I did some ink blending on the globe, so that it looks like someone picked up the snow globe and gave it a shake. When you pull the lever, the magic iris opens to reveal the scene inside:

I used the same image from Snow Globe Scenes as I did on yesterday's card. because it is the absolute sweetest. I added trees from various Lawn Fawn sets - inside the snow globe and on the outside as well.

I hope you like my card! There's more to see on the LF blog this morning - click!

super star! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's February inspiration week continues with a closer look at the super fun Magic Iris die. I showed off this picture last month for the sneak peek week, but I'm so happy to revisit it again! I saw quite a few people pick up this card and play with it at the Creativation show!

Lawn Fawn sneak peek week, day 3

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn's sneak peek week! They're showing off their spring collection on the blog all week long, ahead of the big Creativation show in Phoenix this weekend! Everything shown this week will be available for purchase as of February 20th.

Today, we're showing off some new dies! I'm showing off the Magic Iris die, as well as the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait die.

Lawn Fawn sneak peek week, day 3

First up, the Magic Iris die. It is so cool! And, take it from someone who is very interactive card-challenge, it is an easy one to put together.

Above, you see what it looks like when it's closed. As you pull the tab down, magical things start happening:

The astronomer mouse is so cute, isn't it? Another must-have new set - it is so sweet! I curved the first part of the sentiment around the circle, and the rest of it is revealed as you continue to pull on the tab.

I die. I love it so much! I did the same kind of ink-blending on all of the layers, so that the night sky would be seamless. I flicked on some white paint onto each layer before adding all of the stamped star elements.

My next card features more mice! And the Meadow Backdrop die.

This card is so soft and subtle, and I think the little mouse blowing on the dandelion is the sweetest. I added the Stitched Windy Backdrop - I thought it added to the theme of dandelions blowing away! And I cut the Meadow Backdrop out of Spiffy Speckles patterned paper, but framed the whole thing in white to give it a bit of a pop.
