Unicorn party (Lawn Fawn inspiration and release week)

Hi there!

I'm so excited to be kicking off Lawn Fawn's inspiration/release week with a first look at Unicorn Party:

Unicorn party (Lawn Fawn inspiration and release week)

The tiny fairies holding the sprinkle shaker are my favorite! I love how whimsical this new set it! I started out with a sheet of purple Spiffy Speckles patterned paper and a layer of vellum clouds (a new backdrop die!) over it. It's almost impossible to see in the photos, but it mutes the purple and adds another little subtle texture in real life.

I figured out a cloud placement that I liked, and then added the 2 unicorns... on a date? hanging out? who knows. The fairies are helping them out, bringing them all kinds of sweet treats.

I used the label stamp from Ready, Set, Shake for the sentiment at the bottom.

Lawn Fawn sneak peek week, day 3

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn's sneak peek week! They're showing off their spring collection on the blog all week long, ahead of the big Creativation show in Phoenix this weekend! Everything shown this week will be available for purchase as of February 20th.

Today, we're showing off some new dies! I'm showing off the Magic Iris die, as well as the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait die.

Lawn Fawn sneak peek week, day 3

First up, the Magic Iris die. It is so cool! And, take it from someone who is very interactive card-challenge, it is an easy one to put together.

Above, you see what it looks like when it's closed. As you pull the tab down, magical things start happening:

The astronomer mouse is so cute, isn't it? Another must-have new set - it is so sweet! I curved the first part of the sentiment around the circle, and the rest of it is revealed as you continue to pull on the tab.

I die. I love it so much! I did the same kind of ink-blending on all of the layers, so that the night sky would be seamless. I flicked on some white paint onto each layer before adding all of the stamped star elements.

My next card features more mice! And the Meadow Backdrop die.

This card is so soft and subtle, and I think the little mouse blowing on the dandelion is the sweetest. I added the Stitched Windy Backdrop - I thought it added to the theme of dandelions blowing away! And I cut the Meadow Backdrop out of Spiffy Speckles patterned paper, but framed the whole thing in white to give it a bit of a pop.

Yeti or not (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week! Today, we're taking a closer look at Yeti Or Not. I used the cute yetis on my card yesterday but I'm so ready to share this snowboarding duo today:

I decided to make a wintery birthday card by bringing in the igloo from Snow Cool and the pile of snowballs from Toboggan Together.

I used blue paper from the Spiffy Speckles collection, and then heat-embossed snowflakes over-top.

A slice of pumpkin pie (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

The fall/winter collection hit the stores yesterday, but as a special treat, the design team is serving up slices of pie today! We're showing off the new Cake Slice Box Pie Add-On:

I used the yellow paper from the Spiffy Speckles patterned paper pad, sponging orange ink over-top. I love the dimension and texture that you get from the little speckles!

I added whipped cream to the top, and a kraft-colored pie-crust. I finished off with a sweet sentiment banner.

Here's a back view, to show you that extra "crust" piece.

Layered butterflies (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's April inspiration week! We're taking a closer look at some of the spring collection, and hoping you'll be inspired to get creative yourself!

Today is our showcase of the Layered Butterflies dies. I snipped one in half for a different look:

I cut a piece of white cardstock with a wavy Stitched Hillside Border die, and then cut into it again with a larger butterfly die. I then backed the negative space with a speckled pink paper, to set it apart from the scalloped pink paper to the right.

I borrowed a sentiment from Butterfly Kisses, and added a heat-embossed butterfly trail as well.

Eggstra eggciting (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's February inspiration week! Today, we're showing off the Reveal Wheel Spring sentiments:

I used images from Butterfly Kisses and Eggstra Amazing Easter to create my scene.

I love how all of the new patterned papers look together!

I cut a tiny slit between the fox's paws so that he could properly hold his easter egg. I love his pose - it really looks like he's racing to fill that basket!

Rawrsome! (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn has been showing off their spring line all week long, as they are taking everything to the big Creativation trade show in Phoenix! Everything you see on the blog this week will be for sale at the sale of February.

Today, I'm showing off the new dino set, Rawrsome!

rawrsome (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

I did a girlier, more pastel dinosaur card (read: harder to photograph! gah!) because my niece will be celebrating a birthday in February. I with all of this pink and purple, I'm pretty sure she'll love it!

I used some *new* patterned paper for the background, from the Spiffy Speckles collection. I am head over heels for this paper, especially the sheets that feature tone-on-tone splatters.

Oh gnome! (Lawn Fawn spring sneak week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn is showing off their entire spring line on the blog this week! Everything will be heading to Creativation, but they wanted to make sure you got to see it all too! The whole lot is only available for sale at the end of February.

Today, I'm showing off one of the new sets, Oh Gnome! as well as the new Mushroom Border die.

I colored the little gnome couple and set them in front of a field of wild mushrooms. I inserted stamped and colored mushrooms into the rows of die-cut ones.

The patterned paper sky is new too! I just love this whole pad of paper. You'll see more on that on the Lawn Fawn blog tomorrow.
