Birthday before 'n afters (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

It's time for Lawn Fawn's June inspiration week! We're showing off sets and dies from the current collection all week long, so come back every day!

Today we're taking a closer look at Birthday Before 'N Afters. For those of you who love an interactive card but don't always love making them, I left the mechanics behind and just had fun coloring the images:

I used the Peekaboo Backdrop die, and created little scenes within each one. The critters from Butterfly Kisses are here for the party! I love the fox racing in with an extra candle!

The little bit of confetti help to unify all of the story-book panels. I also did some very subtle ink blending using a light blue ink to tie everything together.

That bear looks like he's had 5 slices, haha. He's just chillin' at the end of the party. I colored the slices in muted rainbow colors, for a fun surprise inside.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the LF blog this morning - click!

Working elves (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's September inspiration week! Today is their showcase of Holiday Helpers, and I'm re-posting a card I had made back in July for their sneak peek week:

Holiday helpers (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

I used the Peekaboo Backdrop die to create little vignettes within each opening. The little boy elves are hanging out, playing in the boxes, drinking hot chocolate, while the girl elves are doing all the work. haha.

I created all of the little scenes, and then set them against a blue gingham paper background.

I love the little slit in the box, so that toys (or elves) can be tucked in! So fun!

let's go out (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

For day 2 of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, we're heading to the shops! Village Shops is a cute set filled with little shops and things you'd find in a quaint town. It reminds me of some of the beach towns we've visited.

I colored all of the shops with copic markers in all kinds of subtle colors. I set everything against a light blue paper sky and created little vignettes with the Peekaboo Backdrop die.

I love the little ice cream truck! When we first moved into our house a few years ago, the kids and I heard what sounded like the sweet ding-ding of an ice cream truck on our street. We tore outside so fast, only to find it was a knife-sharpening truck. ha. I wasn't as disappointed as the kids were (mama needs her sharp knives!) but I totally wish we had ice cream trucks here!

Toadally awesome and a gingham sky (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's March inspiration week is on the blog all week, with new products being highlighted every day. Today, we're showing off the super cute set, Toadally Awesome.

I couldn't help but use the Peekaboo Backdrop again, and create mini scenes within each panel for a "hoppy" birthday card! The pink sky gives it a sweet look.

I'm also showing you the card that was on the Lawn Fawn blog yesterday:

I used green Watercolor Wishes paper for the rolling hills, and gave it a blue Gotta Have Gingham sky. I added a row of spring flowers at the bottom, from Simply Celebrate, and little ducklings from Rub-A-Dub-Dub. They are hanging with the kid-in-duck-costume, from Easter Party.

This card just screams SPRING to me! Now, if our weather could start catching up I'd be super happy.

playing catch-up (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

I missed posting for the first 2 days of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, so settle in for a longer post with more pictures!

I have 3 projects to share. The first one shows off Happy Village:

The Road Border and Grassy Hillside Borders were such a natural match for this stamp set. And the yellow Gotta Have Gingham paper makes this card extra happy and sunny!

My next card features the Peekaboo Backdrop:

I love this die so much! It makes for an easy card-front design that looks so full and fun. I used images from Rub-A-Dub-Dub and back all of the scenes with Gotta Have Gingham paper.

I love the little duck at the bottom checking out the rubber duckie. haha.

My last card features Beam Me Up:

I ditched the pastel colors for more primary colors here. I love that the aliens are bringing the party goodies and waiting to be beamed aboard the party ship!

I hope you like my cards! Check out the LF blog this week for more inspiration from the rest of the team - click!

ps, this is why I missed the first few inspiration week posts:

We're knee-deep into a bathroom renovation! A few weeks ago, our kitchen ceiling started leaking onto my hubby's head so we had to rip up the kids' bathroom right above. It's been a bit chaotic!

We spent Friday and Saturday filling nail holes, caulking a million joints, and painting these beautiful new moldings. The plumber comes back tomorrow to start putting things back together - yay!

Hay There (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

All of the new Lawn Fawn collection is available in the store right now - woot!

Hay There (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Kelly Marie re-created this card on the LF blog yesterday. I love it when she does that, it's fun for me to see someone else craft my design.

I used the new Hay There stamp set, and the Peekaboo backdrop. The sky is Gotta Have Gingham. I can't stop using that paper pad - it's so soft and perfect for spring.

That horse with the blond hair, though... haha. diva.
