Speech bubbles (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hay there!

I have a farm-themed birthday card to share with you today, for the last day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week:

We're showing off the Speech Bubbles dies today, and I've used it with images from Hay There.

Instead of laying the speech bubbles over the gingham sky, I opted to die cut into the gingham layer and reveal a punch of black underneath. I white-heat-embossed the greetings on the black layer and framed out my scene into 2 sections.



I don't know what happened to my sad little chick in the corner. Somewhere between making the card and photographing it, the adhesive loosened and he keeled over a bit. ha. I never noticed until I was editing the photos.

Yee-haw! A barn party for Lawn Fawn

Hi there!

I'm here and on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning with some ideas for a barn or farm-themed party.



I used the critters from Hay There to make adorable cupcake toppers and drink tags.

I stamped out the background of the sign using Gingham Backdrops (perfect for a barn-theme!) and spelled out the greeting using Cole's ABCs dies.

I stamped more gingham onto Tiny Tags for the drink bottles. I chose the cross-stitched circle dies to mat the chick onto - they give a country kind of feel, don't they?



My favorite party element are these barn milk bottle favor boxes. So easy to make! and they reinforce the theme perfectly.  A folded piece of white paper acts as a roof and all I needed to create the barn door was a square frame die and a few extra strips of cardstock.

Hay There (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Kelly Marie re-created this card on the LF blog yesterday. I love it when she does that, it's fun for me to see someone else craft my design.

I used the new Hay There stamp set, and the Peekaboo backdrop. The sky is Gotta Have Gingham. I can't stop using that paper pad - it's so soft and perfect for spring.

That horse with the blond hair, though... haha. diva.

Gingham easter basket (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome back to more of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week. Today, we're showing off the new Stitched Basket die and I have a very simple and sweet project to share:



I cut the basket out of new Gotta Have Gingham paper, and added a Hay There sheep to the front. My Maia goes bananas for everything sheep-related so this one made her giddy.

With just enough space inside for one yummy little chocolate truffle. The paper bow at the top is so cute!

Pivot Pop-Up (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there, and welcome back to the 2nd day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week. We're showing off a very fun new interactive die, the Pivot Pop-Up. This die set includes everything you need to create a 4-panel scene that twists and pops-up as you open the card.

I started out by decorating the outside of the card. I used images from the new Hay There stamp set, nestling them into rolling green hills.

When you open the card,

the panel twists,

and unfolds into such a fun surprise!



I didn't anticipate loving this die as much as I do, but the kids and I took turns opening and closing the card for quite awhile. I kept it pretty clean-and-simple, letting the pop-up panel shine, but next time I'd love to go all out like some of the other girls on the design team did.
