Lawn Fawn holiday week

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn is hosting "a very fawny holiday week" to give you inspiration for holiday cards and projects. If you missed the first few days, you should definitely check it out on their blog. I'm up today, with a card that pulls from a few different sets:

I used the Peekaboo Backdrop to frame out little wintery scenes.  I used different holiday sets for the critters, including Toboggan Together, Sealed With A Kiss, and Beary Happy Holidays.

I added the sentiment and speech bubble from Say What? Christmas Critters.

After the entire card was assembled, I decided that it was missing something, so I grabbed a snowfall stencil and some texture paste and tried my best to work around the images and frames. Not my best move, haha. I was sweating a bit, but I think it worked out ok.

Gingerbread friends + caroling penguins! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome back to Lawn Fawn's October inspiration week! Today, we're showing off the Gingerbread Friends die set (and keep scrolling down to see the project I missed sharing yesterday, for the Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments.)

First up, Gingerbread Friends:

This card was such a bear to photograph, but those gingerbread dies are the sweetest things! I create a trio of gingerbread friends, giving them blushy pink cheeks and extra dimension by ink blending around the edges. I reached for the Spring Sprig die to add greenery all around the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circle Window. The little red berries are from the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On set. Those elements really help to break up all of the brown on this card.

I created this card for yesterday's Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments showcase. I just love these caroling penguins! I layered the Here We Go A-Waddling penguins so that it looks like a big group.

The littlest penguin peeking out at the top is from Say What? Christmas Critters.

When you spin the wheel, the new sentiments appear within the speech bubble. It's so much fun to play with!

I hope you like what I created for you! If you'd like to see either of these cards created from beginning to end, check out the Lawn Fawn blog! Kelly recreates the penguin card in yesterday's video (click!) and the gingerbread card in today's video (click!)

Gift tags and winter skies (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

It's the last day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week! I hope you've enjoyed it. Today, we're showing off the Say What? Christmas Critters stamp set and the Say What? Gift Tags. They all go so well with the images from Holiday Helpers... my obsession with that set continues:

I kept everything white and fresh, save the images. They are colored in Christmas red and green, and really pop against that white!

I kind of tucked the elves behind the critters, and with their outstretched arms, it looks like they are hugging the animals!

I also wanted to share this card, which should have gone up yesterday:

It features images from Winter Skies. I love them looking up at Santa in the sky. Too cute!

Holiday Helpers (Lawn Fawn sneak peek week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn is showing off their Fall/Winter release all week long! Everything shown this week will be for sale at the end of August.

Today's I'm showing off the cute little elves that you've already been eyeing in the sneak peek banner. I love them so much! Holiday Helpers is an adorable set, with mirror imaged girl and boy elves and all kinds of toy-shop accessories.

I used the Peekaboo Backdrop die to create little vignettes within each opening. The little boy elves are hanging out, playing in the boxes, drinking hot chocolate, while the girl elves are doing all the work. haha.

I created all of the little scenes, and then set them against a blue gingham paper background.

I love the little slit in the box, so that toys (or elves) can be tucked in! So fun!

I also used the Holiday Helpers elves along with the Say What? Christmas Critters and Say What? Gift Tags to make a fun set of Christmas tags.

I love these tags! They are small (read, easy to put together,) but not too small, with room for images without crowding the recipient's name. I love that you can make shaker tags out of them! I kept it simple for my first time out.

I love how the holiday colors really pop against the simple white tag. I hope you like what I've created for you today! Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog this morning for all of the sneak peeks - CLICK!
