corny stuff and typography love {lawn fawn sneak peeks!}

Are you loving the new lawn fawn sets so far?  I get to show off two cards today: something corny, and a new alphabet set!

First up, the new alpha set called "milo's abcs"... just because it's my favorite lawn fawn font so far.  I love the tall, skinny letters.  They are so trendy!

The idea for this card just sort of popped into my head, and oddly enough, I have a few friends who I know would love to get it in the mail:

font love.

I hope you are giggling right now, or smirking or something.

font love.

For the longest time, I wondered why my favorite blogs featured new fonts by typing out this sentence...

font love.

I didn't realize it was the cleverest way to show off all the letters of the alphabet, all at once.  So there you go, all the Milo letters, laid out for you to see.  wink.

My second card is, er, very corny:

oh so corny...

Yeesh.  I didn't know I'd be featuring them on the same day - sorry for the abrupt change in lighting.  (In case this would be interesting to you, I took the first card picture outside, on a cloudy day, and this one, with a bounce flash in my basement.  I thought the lighting was more dramatic and cozy... you know... for fall... or thanksgiving stamps... hee)

I colored the background images in very neutral colors, and with quick swipes.  I wanted the copics to look more like watercolors...

oh so corny...

Can I just say, the new twine is making me very, very happy.

  5. I want to know more about a bounce flash! In our townhouse, the living room had little to no natural light, so I always struggled. And let's talk about Xmas eve photos in poorly lit rooms!

    I LOVE these - I wouldn't know where to begin with stamps like these, and you make it look so effortless for them to be so pretty!

  9. Really love your card and that new font. I had to laugh at your sentence--when I was in high school typing class, that was our warm up sentence--just because it used every letter. I guess you youngsters skipped that lesson.

  11. I had a mini heart attack looking at this post because for a split second I thought I'd forgot to throw that Milo's ABCs set into my Lawn Fawn order, lol! Thankfully I had a quick check and I didn't have a temporary moment of forgetfulness/insanity and it is in my order, lol! I love both of these cards - love the colours of the corny one, but that Typography/Grammar/English-inspired one just makes me smile so much!!
