Pretty Pink Posh birthday blog hop!

Hi there!

Pretty Pink Posh is turning 6 and I'm honored to be joining them on day 2 of this 3-day birthday blog hop!

I made 2 cards using items from the newest release! My first card features the Party Friends and Large Floral Hearts stamp sets.

These images are adorable! I stamped and die-cut the heart frame and colored the flowers using copic markers. I then die-cut the same heart frame out of a striped patterned paper layer. To get the dimension that I wanted, I stacked 4-5 plain heart frame die-cuts and adhered them into the opening.

I did some purple ink blending on the card-base and created dreamy, bokeh dots using a white gel pen. The mice complete the card, and are adhered with foam dots to give extra dimension.

My second card features a different critter from Party Friends, as well as a new coverplate: the Birthday Frame die.

This card didn't photograph right, but it is my favorite! I started out by die-cutting the frame, and used copic markers to add color to the party elements. Then, I stamped out the lion using Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf ink and colored him in using copic markers. In real life, he is so soft and cute! I used a speckled paper as my base layer, which provided the perfect amount of interest to an otherwise simple card.

I hope you like them! Now, onto the fun part:

Pretty Pink Posh tropical blog hop!

Hi there!

Pretty Pink Posh has a new release out right now and it's all things summery and tropical. Check out the collection HERE. To celebrate, they are putting on a 2-day blog hop - starting this morning - with all kinds of invited guest designers. I'm thrilled to be one of them!

I have a couple of cards to show you, so let's get started!

Pretty Pink Posh tropical blog hop!

For my first card, I used the Beach Scene Die and the Tropical Background Stencil. I started out by ink blending the tropical background pattern onto 2 layers of white cardstock. I kept it light and subtle. I think die-cut the pieces for the beach scene and colored everything using copic markers.

I added a punchy black hello (from the Hello Friend script die) to finish things off.

My next card is for the birds (groan, I'm turning into my dad):

I used the Tropical Toucans stamp set - it's so fun! I love these adorably quirky birds! I used copic markers to color them in and layered them over a stenciled background.

I blended pink inks over the Triangles stencil and then adhered the birdies in place. I framed everything out with a Scallop Frames die.

I hope you like them! Now, onto the fun stuff:

PPP 4th birthday celebrations!

Hi there!

I'm thrilled to be joining in to celebrate Pretty Pink Posh's 4th birthday in a 3-day blog hop event!

To celebrate the 3 days of celebration, I've made 3 cards:

PPP 4th birthday celebrations!

My first card shows off the new set, Birthday Friends.  They are so adorable! I used a Scallop Frames die to in-set the birthday cake and had the party-goers stay at the front.

This guy is my fave.

For my next card, I used the other 2 kids in the Birthday Friends set, and the new Love Shaker die. I snipped the word "love" from the die and was left with a fun heart frame for the background.

I used a sponge and some white ink to create a whimsical polka-dotted background (the whimsy is in how the polkas are so random, haha.)

My last card is completely 1-layer. No special design, but I admit I wanted to color the Birthday Scene stamp - it is so cute! I stamped it, then masked all of the animals and balloons and banner, and sponged a sky and ground. I then splattered brown ink onto the ground and white ink onto the sky. When I removed the masks, all I had left to do was to color the scene.

My Maia was going to a birthday party last weekend, and out of the 3 cards, she chose to bring this one along. It is so sweet!

I hope you like what I've created. It wouldn't be a birthday without gifts:

Pretty Pink Posh turns 2!

Hi there!

I'm excited to join Pretty Posh Pink for the last day of celebrating their 2nd birthday.  Paulina is the sweetest person, and it's been such a joy to watch her launch and grow a successful business over the last few years!

PPP turns 2!

I love Paulina's sequins, but I adore her dies! I used the storybook 3 and scallop frame dies on this card, as well as clear sequins and clear droplets.

When Paulina asked if I'd guest for her, I was in the middle of making digital stamp samples, so I plunked this long-necked giraffe from my shop onto the card. I felt bad for not inking up any stamps, so I did use Lawn Fawn alphas for my sentiment (gosh darn it, if I'd used the digital version, it may have been better aligned. ha.)

Pretty Pink Posh birthday hop!

Hi there!

I'm joining in the Pretty Pink Posh birthday celebrations today:

It's a 3 day hop, and today is day 3. If you've missed anything so far, click over to the Pretty Pink Posh blog. There have been a few projects that have made me go "wow!" already. Did you see *this* one, by Laura Bassen? Amazing.

I decided to get ahead of the game and make a birthday card for my little niece, Mia.  She's turning 2 next month:

Can you spot all of the PPP stuff I used on this card?  I had to combine them with some new MFT goodies too.  I first die-cut a tag out of masking paper and laid it down on my card-front. I used a checkerboard stencil to create the bubble-gum pink and blue background. When I pulled away the masking paper, I was left with plenty of white space to place my focal images.

The Birdie Brown image is so cute, isn't it? Torico is such an amazing illustrator!

I die-cut the tiny stitched rectangles, and used them to back the letters spelling out Mia's name.

The glitter on the cucpake icing and the sequins add some birthday-girl-appropriate sparkle.  I used a mix of different sequin sizes: the tiny clear ones, and the sweetheart mix.

I hope you like it!

You can't have a birthday celebration without presents! There are prizes to be won, so comment along each stop of the blog hop. As a bonus, Paulina is offering a special discount code on her blog.
