Hi there!
We're on to day 3 of this month's Neat and Tangled release week. In case you missed the first few days:
Day 1: My Favorite Nut
Day 2: Loves Notes
Today, we're showing off Miriam new layering set, Calathea. She always comes up with designs that are so original! If you're hopping over from the Neat and Tangled blog, you may be confused to find my squirrels amid a slew of leafy beauties, but I promise I used the new set.
I used the biggest solid leaf, it's matching outline image and the matching die to create the 4 bubbles (bubbles?) for my scene.
I love that the leaf is an irregular oval, so I just eyeballed the quadrant. If they were precise ovals, I would have definitely been more careful.
I stamped inside each opening with a medium grey ink, and then splattered blue and brown inks over that. I really like the black outline around each oval. It makes the card even more playful and matches the black outline of the rest of the images.
The images are from My Favorite Nut, the sentiment from Calathea, and the little bird was stolen from Kitty's Favorite Things.
I hope you like it! There's more to see on the NT blog this morning - click!
