Unicycle! (for Avery Elle)

Hi there! Elena here, with a few cards using the Unicycle stamp set from the current Avery Elle release. I might be biased because I drew these cuties, but I just think they bring the party!

Unicycles! (for Avery Elle)

My 1st card is a 1-layer panel. I got the stamps in the mail and was too impatient to wait for the dies! There was a bit of masking involved but it wasn't difficult. I kind of love all of the images from the stamp set on this one card! They look like a birthday parade coming through... I backed the main panel onto a piece of polka-dotted paper from The Holiday Collection paper pad.

My next card uses the dies (yay!) I used the extra little die that cuts a slit into the rhino's body so that you could tuck the cake or the present in there. I gave him a balloon too, and a party hat, and sat him on his unicycle. I threw confetti all around and framed him out using the Burst die. I finished off the card with a sentiment from another new set, Peek-A-Boo Coaster.

I went a lot softer with the color palette on this last card. I used the tower-o-monkeys (hee hee) and gave them the pennant flag to hold. I dotted the sky with puffy clouds from Cupids and gave them a little bee friend (from Beary Good Friends) to look at.

I hope you like my cards for today! Thanks for stopping by!

vroom! (a car party for Lawn Fawn)

Hi there!

a car party for Lawn Fawn!

my nephew turned 5 and loves cars so this party was a no-brainer! I used images from Car Critters as my starting-off point, coloring the cars in a kid-friendly-bright-red. I made a kind of racing car checkered backdrop for the party, simply by cutting black and white cardstock into 8x8 squares. It really pulls everything together!

The very simple banner is still impactful because of the white letters on black cardstock. I think the longest part was finding the alphabet dies! gah! do you ever do this? I think I emptied out all of my binders and baggies looking for them. Note to self: figure out a better system for die storage.

I think these gable boxes are my favorite part! I stenciled a cloudy sky and placed the car on the road *the road is facing the wrong way, but who cares*

I love me a good pun. I used a combo of stamped and die-cut letters to make this little sign. The stoplight treats were the biggest hit of the entire party table! I used ready-made rice krispies treat squares, and pressed in red, yellow and green skittles. Nothing to it! The confetti I used in the mason jars is what comes in our Lawn Fawn boxes!

Avery Elle Summer of Stamping blog hop

Hi there!

I'm excited to be blog hopping for Ellen Hutson's Summer of Stamping - and today's hop is celebrating a new, exclusive set by Avery Elle, called Peek-A-Boo-Pals Camp Wanna Stamp, created just for this event!

Isn't it so cute?? It was so much fun to play with!

Summer of Stamping! (Ellen Hutson+Avery Elle collab)

I created a night-time scene, dotting a dark blue paper with white stars. To make the canoe really stand out, I colored it a bright red and placed the racoon and bunny inside. I gave the bunny a lantern to hold, which is attracting all of the fish! I ink-blended the water portion with different teal inks and left it lighter near the lantern. I used a copic marker to add little ripples in the water. To finish off, I added some clear crystal drops to the water and a sweet sentiment from the set.

space is great, but (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Today is the last day of projects for July's Lawn Fawn inspiration week. We're showing off the Just Stitching Stars die set, and I created a custom sentiment:

space is great (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

The stars were begging for an outer-space-themed card! I used images from Out Of This World to make a scene on this slimline card, and created the sentiment using Milo's ABCs and Oliver's Stitched ABCs.

I did some heavier dark inking around the edges to bring some extra drama, and a bit of white paint, flicked on, look like a million tiny stars in the distance.

A horse and a pig (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to another day of Lawn Fawn's July inspiration week! We're taking a look at products from the latest release, and hoping to inspire you!

Today is our showcase of the Tiny Gift Box Bee Add-On, and the Unicorn and Horse Add-On.

When I was crafting for this release, my daughter and my niece were hanging out, watching over my shoulder. My niece got all excited for me to make her a horse box, and my daughter held up the die-cut and asked for a pig. It wasn't even a stretch to just cut the pieces out of pink paper and call it a pig.

You'll notice that the die that comes with ears features closed eyes, but the girls wanted their animals to have open eyes. All I did was layer the Bee Add-On on top of the Horse Add-On.

To finish off, I added blushy cheeks to each animal and used a white gel pen to add some highlights.

Build-an-aquarium (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's July inspiration week. All of the products shown are available in their store right now. Today, we're taking a closer look at a very cool die set, Build-An-Aquarium.

Build-an-aquarium (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

I think it's just so much fun! I covered the card base with a cream layer of the Sparkle Backdrop. Then, I cut the aquarium frame out of white and soft grey cardstocks. Inside, I used some border dies for the sandy floor and the water backgrounds.

I cut everything out of white cardstock and then colored them with copic markers. I love the beady-eyed tiny fish, haha. Everything was placed behind an acetate, to help it look more like a real aquarium.

The sentiment was borrowed from Fintastic Friends.

Wish big! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's July inspiration week! The summer release is in the store and we're hoping to provide a bit of extra inspiration for you. Today is our showcase of the Pop-up Wish Big die. It's a fun way to add some interest to the inside of your card:

First, check out the front of the card. I used images from Unicorn Picnic and stenciled some purple clouds all over the background. The clouds continue on the inside...

I kept it pretty simple and sweet inside, but something that any little girl would love. I hope you like it!

Simply celebrate summer (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's July inspiration week! We're taking a closer look at the rest of the summer release, and hoping to inspire you.

Today is our showcase of Simply Celebrate Summer:

Simply celebrate summer (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Simply Celebrate is a whole line of stamps for Lawn Fawn, and the rows of images makes it easy to create quick cards that are still so fun.

I made the background colorful and kept the ice creams icy looking. For an extra pop of color, I used copic markers to also color the frame a bright pink.

The sentiment is from Simply Summer Sentiments and finishes off the card perfectly.
