owen's abcs {lawn fawn}

Hi there! We're a few days into this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, and showing off the fun new alpha set, Owen's ABCs, today.

I made a quirky card, and I think it was so quirky because it came together in little stages, over a few days.  First, I created the little couple out of Sweet Smile gumballs.  The round gumball outline provided the heads, and the faces were quickly stamped as well. I then doodled hair and tiny shoulders before framing them out.

The background was created using the new Owen's ABCs. I used Lawn Fawn's mermaid ink, but stamped off onto scratch paper before inking the panel. It looks washed out and irregular in places, just like a sheet of vintage patterned paper.

I hope you like this whimsical card! It would be a cute one for next Valentine's day!

Hi there! Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn's February inspiration week! Today, we're showing off the amazing Flirty Frames.

When Kelly sneaked a photo of this set to the design team, we all squealed. At least, I'm assuming they did. Was that just me? I love this set full 'o frames.

It's perfect for making your focal image stand out a little more:

Are you groaning? Haha. I can't help myself. I gave this one to the hubs on Valentine's Day. My daughter stared at it for a solid minute before muttering "I don't get it."

I spent the next 5 minutes telling her what the joke was. All of a sudden, with a 9 year old sneering at you, it's less funny. bah.

I thought it was cute.

And I wasted a few sheets of paper trying to get that sentiment to look right. But I love it.

a jungle birthday {new Lawn Fawn CHA release}

hi there!

While Lawn Fawn is at CHA, they're showing off all of the new stamps and dies and papers and inks (!) that they've created for the event. Everything will be on sale by mid-february, but you get to see it all this week! If you've missed anything, head over to their blog and scroll back. It's all amazing stuff!

I have a birthday card to show off using the new set, Critters in the Jungle. I also highlighted the sentiment by popping it into a flirty frame.

I am seriously missing birthday cards in my stash, (mostly because my sisters and mom came shopping at my house) so you'll be seeing a lot more "happy birthdays" on the blog for a bit.

Who doesn't love a party animal?

Birthday hats and a vine-swinging-gift-holding-monkey. It's all good.
