Jump for joy!

Hi there!

Our newest release hit the store this past Friday, and I have another card to share using my brand new set, Jump For Joy. It features images that I illustrated, and some of my favorite sentiments ever.

I kept this card very clean and white, with the only pops of color coming from the critters and the grassy hills (made using the Stitched Slopes dies). I positioned the jumping hedgehog so that he is having a sweet moment with the raccoon. I just think they are too cute like this!

I created a chunky outer frame for my card (using Lawn Fawn rectangle dies) and stamped the sentiment at the bottom, just like a picture frame. The tiny little heart place between the raccoon and hedgie reinforce the sentiment perfectly.

I believe in you! (Neat and Tangled release week)

Welcome back to day 3 of this month's Neat and Tangled release week. Today we're showing off a stamp set and dies that work oh-so-well together, both designed by Miriam. Typed Sentiments and the Skinny Strips die set are both must-haves for sure!

I love all of the sentiments in Typed Sentiments. There is one that cracks me right up: "no one will ever be as entertained by us as us." haha. I will definitely be reaching for this set again and again. I used it with images from Jump For Joy, and set the trampolining bunny against a night sky. The rolling hills were created using our Stitched Slopes dies.

Jump for joy! (Neat and Tangled release week)

Welcome back to day 2 of this month's Neat and Tangled release week. We're showing off new products all week long, and they will be available for sale as of Friday morning, 8am EST.

Let's jump in! My newest 4x6 stamp set is called Jump For Joy, and features a little jump rope, a little trampoline action, and a whole lotta cute.

I have 2 cards to show you today! The first card shows off the jump rope:



The sentiment makes me smile so big! The raccoon and turtle stamp and cut out as one image, and you can choose to have a little jumping squirrel, hedgehog or bunny. They all have their own unique jumping poses.



This would be a great set to use with interactive dies, too! You could set a little jumping path for your critter.

The second card shows off the rest of the critters, having too much fun on the trampoline:

I love the bunny - he looks like he's ninja-kicking in the air. And this sentiment works with either the jump rope or the trampoline.

plaid for the holidays (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

We're back with more Lawn Fawn inspiration today, showing off the Perfectly Plaid Chill paper collection.



As a side note, for those interested in card photography: this picture was taken at the exact same time as yesterday's card. The softer colors were harder for the camera to appreciate, I guess. This one looks so washed out compared to the rich vibrancy of yesterday's picture. My PSA for today is: if you're really wanting the card photo to impress, it'll be easier if the card itself is full of rich color, and contrasting colors too. This one is too soft, but you know I love a pastel pallette!

Back to it: I used bands of the plaid patterned paper to frame out my little scene. The fox and hedgehog are from Jump For Joy and Forest Feast. I love that they are fall sets but could be used throughout the year!

The Christmas accessories are from Christmas Dreams.

scalloped treat boxes (lawn fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!  Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues with a look at my favorite gift packaging die yet, the Scalloped Treat Box.

It's itty-bitty, and just perfect:



I dressed up the box with a strip of plaid paper from the Perfectly Plaid Fall collection. I ran my strip through the die-cutter so that it would have the same stitched edge at the top. It's a fun way to dress up your boxes if you don't want to use up too much of your patterned paper.

The boxes feature either the fox or the owl from Jump For Joy, and a trio of stitched leaves hanging by some plain twine.

jump for joy! {lawn fawn fall/winter release sneak peek week}

Hi there!

If you are a Lawn Fawn lover, you will want to check into the LF blog every single day this week! They will be showing off their entire fall/winter collection - eeek! There are adorable stamp sets, very cool dies, new inks, and all kinds of plaid papers. Everything will be for sale by the end of August, so sit tight!

I only received the products that are being shown off today, but I did make 2 cards to show you:

Jump For Joy features the cutest little critters. Isn't that hedgehog the cutest? For those of you who like a more interactive card, you can use the sliders dies to show him messing up that huge pile of leaves. Poor fox! haha. All that hard work. He doesn't look too upset.



I used a sunburst stencil behind the colorful critters, and kept everything else pretty much light and bright. I need to ease into the whole mood of fall and winter crafting! I'm still in summer mode right now.

My next card features the same fox, but also the owl from Jump For Joy, the bushel of apples from Thanks A Bushel, and a die set that I know you will all love! The Leafy Tree Backdrop dies are so perfect for building cute scenes. They will be a hit for sure.
