Perfectly plaid halloween (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's August inspiration week continues, with all new products becoming available in just 3 more days!

Today, we're showing off the plaid papers for fall - they are so cozy and warm looking!

I made a little card and favor box combo for Halloween using some favorite older sets, and combined them with a new plaid paper. The colors I used for the images are all found in the plaid, which makes everything come together.

Supplies:

Pumpkin wagon (from Happy Harvest)
Ghosts and sentiment (from Spooktacular)
Green frame (from the retired set, Sweater Weather)

a black and white halloween party

Hi there! I buddied up with my favorite cookier, Marlyn (of Montreal Confections) to bring you a ghostly lawn fawn party, just in time for halloween!

It's just so cute! Marlyn had the amazing idea of hanging her cookies from branches, so I traipsed around and found some long branches to spray white. They look a little like a witches's broom...but white. I love how they frame the whole table and give instant halloween drama.

Her cookies were made to match the cutesy feel of the lawn fawn stamp (from spooktacular.)

I think she made a great match.

I used the new Finley's ABCs to cut into the goodie bags, and dangled a little ghost in the middle of a few of them. I love how you could see the polka dots through the negative spaces.

And, since I'm not one to waste, I used the leftover letters from the favor bags in the speech bubbles of the ghostly peep marshmallows.

I love them in the pickets fence! I had used the box once before, at Sofia's Easter bunny party (click!) for the carrot patch cake pops. It looks so different here!

Here's a close-up of the table. I picked up the haunted house from Target earlier in the week. It matches the theme perfectly!

Enjoy the boo-ffet. haha. I'm still giggling.

Marlyn made the cutest cake ever for our table! From the "boo" on the front, to the trail of ghosts floating up the side,

It's so perfect.  And to wash down the cake, you'll need some spooktacular sips.

And by spooktacular, I mean these guys:

The ones at the back are much spookier than that smiling one up front. ha.

I hope you like what Marlyn and I created for you!

purr-fect {lawn fawn august inspiration week}

Hi and welcome back to another day of lawn fawn's august inspiration week. Today, it's all about the papers, the flair, the woodgrain notecards, the sequins and wood veneer found in the sweater weather collection!

I tried to show off a few of the new patterns in my paper-pieced goodie bag. Aren't they cute?  I cut and assembled the new goodie bag die in white, but added a fun splash of the bright argyle to the front. That involved several steps: I first die-cut the argyle with a stitched rectangle die, then ran just the tip through the machine to get the same pinked-edge-top as the goodie bag. Finally, I die-cut a circle into the layer, so that I could arrange my scene inside.

The rest was much easier to put together: I die cut a few rolling hills for the kitty to rest on, paper-pieced her (giving her a bow from the new monster mash set) and made an original sentiment from 2 different stamps in the spooktacular set.

A bow in the new orchid twine finishes it all off. I hope you like it!

it's spooktacular! {lawn fawn august inspiration week}

Before leaving for the beach, I crafted a marathon of projects - for MFT, Mama Elephant, and Lawn Fawn. I've been especially excited to show off my lawn fawn cards - and here we go!

Today, we're showing off the fun halloween set, spooktacular.

I lifted the joke from a print I spotted on pinterest somewhere, I thought it was so cute.  (I wish I had a link for you!)

The ghost is from spooktacular, the owl from critters in the arctic, and new sweater weather patterned paper in the background. Makes for a preppy sort of halloween card. ha.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the lawn fawn blog today.
