A gift for you {mama elephant stamp highlight}

It's the last day of Mama Elephant stamp highlights, and I told you I was gonna use my illustrations to round out my time with this wonderful company.

a gift for you {mama elephant stamp highlight}

I created a little woodland scene using my animals from Woodland Gifts. The bear looks a teeny bit less stunned, with a candy cane stuffed under his arm and a winter hat on his noggin'.

The bunny and mouse have a little something for him, (the stocking from here and the present from here) which pairs so perfectly with the sentiment from Mini Messages.

I stamped them all onto grid cardstock (it was by Papertrey Ink, but I don't see it in their store anymore) and added texture above them by way of a snowy stencil and white embossing paste. It's subtle, but I love it in real life.

I hope you like it! I have one last ME card to show off on Monday, and you can check out their blog this morning for more Mini Messages inspiration.

you remind me of...me! {mama elephant}

Hi there! I'm popping in with a little almost-one-layer card today, using the Mama Elephant Birthday Wishes set.

you remind me of me.

I paired it with the critters from Woodland Gifts. The bear's blank expression says it all. What'd you say to me? haha.

The bunny and the mouse are being a little cheeky, stacked to hand him the extra large candle. I stamped the solid candle with a black ink, and then added polka dots by way of a white gel pen to match the patterned paper flag.

you remind me of me.

Once the critters were colored, I masked them and splattered blue ink like confetti onto the card front.

I hope you like it!

mama elephant june stampede!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop!

The newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

The feedback for Charmed has been amazing so far! I am so proud of having drawn these sweet images. I made a trio of tags for you today:

The circle from the Sew Fancy die set makes the perfect base for the wreath.

Can you imagine an owl-themed baby shower, with a slew of these sweet tags on the table? I die.

And I couldn't help but add in my favorite bear, from last month's Woodland Gifts

For all 3 tags, I mounted the wreath onto the circle base using foam dots. You could easily add some acetate to make these into super cute shaker tags! My crafty stash is a mess, and I couldn't find any since the house move.

Now, for the fun part:

To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to win!

Party Animal!

Hi there! I'm here and on the Mama Elephant blog today, showing off the new set, Bella Letters.

ready to party!

I love that the letters are sleek and thin and you can use them to spell out whatever you want! I stamped them onto the wavy banner from Tags a Lot (actually onto 2 separate banners with the cut seams hidden behind the party bear.)

Let's talk about that bear from Woodland Gifts! He looks super excited, doesn't he? ha. I inked him up, but carefully wiped off the ink at the top of his head. Then, I masked his ear and stamped the hat from Ella & Friends. I added the stripes by way of a copic multiliner pen. I also used the same pen to draw in the balloon string (the balloon is from Woodland Gifts.) I colored and then cut out the entire image by hand.

ready to party!

My favorite part of the card is the starry background. I grabbed a piece of kraft cardstock, ran it through the die-cutter once with the Starburst Cover die, turned it around and ran it through again. It makes such a great frame to a focal image!

I hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by!

from me to you.

Hi there, and welcome back to another day of Mama Elephant new stamp highlights. I'm the most excited for today, since I drew the images in the new set, Woodland Gifts.

I'm always tickled pink and every other rainbow color to see my pencil sketches morph into these perfect images that people can stamp with! It's so fun!

from me to you.

I made a thank you card, with the bunny this time, handing over a little jar of honey to the bear. He looks like he wants to do the slow steps backwards, doesn't he? ha. I love him. Like, maybe it's sardines in there or something. But no, honey. Trust.

I colored the images, then did a wash of a very subtle blue around them, and finished up by inking up the edges pretty heavily.  I wanted the card to look a little vintage.

I hope you like it! There's more to see on the ME blog today - click!

Mama Elephant May Stampede and Woodland Gifts giveaway winner!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

I am so excited by the response so far to my design collaboration with Mama Elephant for Woodland Gifts. I can't wait to see what you all do with these sweet critters!

Mama Elephant May Stampede

The bear is so much taller than the teeny mouse, so I used the *new* grassy borders and the largest mushroom in the set to give him extra height. Now the bear can actually see him!

I love that the bear is a little deer-in-the-headlights. He's my fave.

I hope you like him too! Now, onto the fun stuff:

woodland gifts - new Mama Elephant sneak peek.

Hi y'all!

This blog has been a wasteland, I know, but I have been crafting and coloring while packing these last few weeks!

Mama Elephant's sneak peeks are starting today, and my joining in can only mean one thing: another stamp design with my name on it!

woodland gifts - new mama elephant sneak peek

This one is actually a full-on collaboration. It's the very first set of images that I drew for Mama Elephant. (fun fact: the little girl wearing the bear coat in Alpine Carolers was originally drawn for this set!) Angela tweaked the images and help me bring the set to life. I really love how it all turned out, with the different animals offering presents and support to one another!

These two had differences that needed patching - hee.

Because I wanted my main panel to be flat, I masked the chipmunk so he could rest comfortably on the bigger mushroom, and be at eye-level with the raccoon. I included different items, like the bigger mushrooms and the log, so that the smaller animals could be raised up to face the taller ones.

I actually drew in the balloon string (instead of stamping it) since part of it had to pass in front of the raccoon's far paw (hand? paw?)

For the card base, I used the highlighter end of red (R29) and grey (T1) copic markers to draw in the stripes.

Now for the fun part: the Mama Elephant girls have given me an extra set to giveaway!  Leave me a comment here, and I'll pick and announce the winner on release day (May 15th)

Good luck!

♥.
