After all of that cutesy monster party stuff, it felt good to switch gears and make something completely different :)
I was inspired by this picture and color combo:
to create this card:
I stamped the flower outlines from "pretty peonies" onto a sheet of white cardstock, and then stamped in the inspiration colors with the filler images (I think my pink is too light, but I don't have berry sorbet.... yet.)
After the images were stamped, I went in and shaded the flowers a little with some slightly-darker copic markers. With a light beige copic, I colored in the entire mat, around all the flowers, to match the inspiration photo. Then, and to give the paper more of a fabric-feel, I stamped hero arts' "envelope pattern" background overtop and also ran the cardstock through my die-cutter with the PTI linen impression plate.
For a bit of interest at the top, I created some glossy accents "dew drops."
I die-cut a fillable frame and stamped the greeting into the opening (on the card base.) And, as you can see by the ruffle on the side, I'm still using up scraps from Sofia's sewing party :)
Thanks for peeking!
