Happy Friday, all!
I have a mother's day card to share with you today:
When you pull back the zipper, it says "I am grateful for you."
Or something like that.
I forget exactly.
hee hee.
I used a zipper die-cut panel (that the super-sweet Cara sent me, since I don't have the die myself), and stamped the small flower from "pretty peonies" in versamark ink. I then die-cut the bird (a Memory Box die) above the zipper line. The word M-O-M (from Paper Smooches' "Pretty Momma" set) fit perfectly onto the zipper.
I felt like the card needed a little something extra, but I didn't want to cover up any of the pretty peonies, so I created a vellum flag to hang in the corner. I used my crop-a-dile to punch 2 holes and tied a soft bow with some white yarn before wrapping it around my striped patterned paper.
I hope you like it as much as I do!
ps, our final kid-party is this Saturday (I've almost survived party season!) Thank goodness Maia is too small to have friends, so we'll just be inviting our families to eat milk & cookies. I hope to share some yummy pictures with you on Monday!
