Welcome, sweet pea! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's February inspiration week! We're showing off products from the spring collection - all of which will be available for purchase tomorrow! Are you excited??

Today, we're showing of Be Hap-pea, a cute set featuring pea pods and different faces for the little peas! I made a baby card for a friend using this set:

welcome, sweet pea! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

I did some ink blending using Spun Sugar distress oxide ink. I started blending in the middle, and feathered it out to give it a dreamy quality.

I stamped the sentiment into a Bannertastic flag, and added some of the green leaves around the banner so that it all tied together better.

I added some darker pink grounding beneath the feet of the 2 pea "parents" and nestled the "big sister" into the pod with her newborn baby sister.

To add extra interest, I used a white gel pen to add white dots for that bokeh look.

Cloud shaker (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week! Today, we're showing off the Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables and the Stitched Cloud Frames.

I combined both on this sweet card. I grabbed a white cardstock panel, and did some soft ink blending. I then flicked some water over it to add a dreamy quality to the sponged color.

I then cut into the panel with the cloud dies, and created a little shaker in the negative space.

Down below, I created a little scene using the sweet ducklings from Rub-A-Dub-Dub.

Stitched ornaments (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

It's Lawn Fawn's October inspiration week, and we're kicking things off with a look at the Stitched Ornaments dies.

I made a set of Christmas tags using the ornaments and the bear from Beary Happy Holidays.  A Bannertastic banner leaves room for the recipient's name.

I love how subtle they are: the white ornaments with the pop of mint coming through the back and the warm brown bear in the center. I can't wait to put these on some brown paper packages in just a few months!

Ahoy, matey! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

ahoy, matey! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Lawn Fawn's summer release is being shown on the blog alllll week and you are gonna want to check it out. It was like Christmas in May when I opened my box of new goodies. The summer release will be available for purchase as of May 18th.

We're kicking things off with a look at Ahoy, Matey.

I made a sky out of Watercolor Wishes paper, and a kraft hillside for the pirate to bury his treasure in. Or find it. That probably makes more sense.

The Happy Birthday sentiment fits perfectly into a Bannertastic banner.

The little pirate is so cute with his peg leg. And the tiny puddle as a parking spot for the ship is cracking me up.

Sew cute! (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

sew cute! (lawn fawn inspiration week)

We're kicking off Lawn Fawn's April inspiration week with a closer look at Sewn With Love.

I have 2 cards up on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning. The first one has all of the smiley faces colored in a very vibrant teal, against a pink Watercolor Wishes background. I love the jar of buttons peeking out from behind the pin cushion.

The second is one that I showed off during CHA sneak peek week (you can see the original blog post by clicking HERE.) It's still my favorite, and I have to admit that I was sad to see it go. Sofia picked it for her friend's birthday and I had to stop myself from asking her to pick a different one.

I did a quick watercolor on the background and fixed a Bannertastic banner so it looked like it was being pushed out by the machine.

Lawn Fawn + Xyron week - wedding cats

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn + Xyron week - wedding cats

Lawn Fawn and Xyron are collaborating this week to bring you fun inspiration using both companies' products.

I've used Xyron's Mega Runner to adhere everything on my card.

The Lawn Fawn supply list is a bit longer.

Lawn Fawn + Xyron week - wedding cats

I dressed up the Meow You Doin'? cats for their wedding. I love that my cousin will open the envelope on his wedding day in July and see this and be all WTF, but there you have it. Wedding cats. I'll distract him with a nice, hefty check. ha.

The wedding accessories come from the set called Bicycle Built for You, and who knew they would work perfectly on the kitties? I love that "furever" fit perfectly into the little flag.

I stamped "wedding day" into 2 Bannertastic banners and snipped them so they could fit snuggly on either side of the happy couple.

I'm still giggling, picturing the reaction to these cats. I don't even know if they prefer dogs.

Bicycle built for you (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Bicycle built for you (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

More purple. I really can't help myself. Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues with a closer look at Bicycle Built For You.  I love all of the little accessories that can take this sweet couple from a casual afternoon ride in the park, to a dressed up post-i-do-can-swinging adventure.

I layered all of my images over a sheet of Watercolor Wishes paper, onto which I flecked white ink for a more dreamy look. I then fit the greeting into a sweeping banner, from Bannertastic.

I hope you like it! Kelly Marie recreated my card in her video this morning, so visit the Lawn Fawn blog to check it out - click!

Hang in there (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

Hang in there (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

We're showing off this lazy sloth today, from Hang In There.  I've already put him on another card this week (click! if you missed it.)

I kept this one pretty simple, The black and white stripey backdrop provides the perfect pop for a more simple card.

Hang in there (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

One little tricky thing I did: I added a few more Os to the end of the HELLLOO - I needed it to look more full in the banner, and I really just thought it'd make him sound extra slothful. It wasn't even as tricky as I'm making it out to be. I inked up the last few vowels only and carefully stamped them on the end.

sorry i'm so slow... (lawn fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

sorry i'm so slow... (lawn fawn inspiration week)

It's day 2 of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, and we're showing off a few new sets. I've focused on Bannertastic, and built my card around the sweeping banner.

I've set up a birthday scene with the sloth from Hang in There, as well as the bird and mouse and other accessories from Elphie Selfie.

sorry i'm so slow... (lawn fawn inspiration week)

I backed everything in a sheet of purple watercolor paper, and frame it out with a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables die.

To note: I'm calling this week My Purple Period, because in editing my photos I realized that half of them feature this pretty purple watercolor paper. I've used it all up already. ack. It's so pretty though!

Lawn Fawn + ScraPerfect week

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn + ScraPerfect week

Lawn Fawn is partnering with ScraPerfect this week, using their wonderful adhesive products.

I used The Best Glue Ever to put the crowd of cats onto my card.

Lawn Fawn + ScraPerfect week

The kitties from Meow You Doin' have the best poses! I love the stretching one the best. I paired them with a few rows of Stitched Borders and popped the sentiment into a banner from Bannertastic.

Sew... it's your birthday! (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's CHA sneaks week continues, with another 7 stamp sets being shown today.

I've combined 2 of them on this card: Sewn with Love, and Bannertastic. I love how it looks like the banner is a piece of fabric running through the machine:

Sew... it's your birthday (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

To create the look, I stamped the sewing machine and the banner and die-cut them both. Then, I snipped off the top of the banner and drew in a straight line, so that it would connect with the straight edge of the sewing machine. Easy peasy!

Sew... it's your birthday (Lawn Fawn CHA sneaks week)

The card background is a quick watercolor job, and I kept the images colors soft to match. I added the tiniest bit of pom-pom trim to give the card more texture.

I hope you like it!
