Scripty Bubble Sentiments (Lawn Fawn spring release week!)

  Hi there!

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's spring release week! On February 25th, 9 new stamp sets, 14 new die sets, 5 new stencil sets and new patterned paper and cardstock will be available for sale in the Lawn Fawn store and other online retailers.

Today we are showing off Scripty Bubble Sentiments, a set that works perfectly with Bubbles of Joy (which was shown off yesterday.)

For something a little different, I brought in the elephant from Elphie Selfie and had him blow the bubbles!

I used the new slimline stencils to create the cloud and hillside background. 

To make the bubbles more special, I went over all of them, including the smile sentiment, with a layer of glossy accents.

Miss you already (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Welcome to Lawn Fawn's June inspiration week! We're kicking things off with a closer look at Plane and Simple.

My Sofia is graduating elementary school! She went on her senior class trip a week ago, and I tucked this into her bag:

I just think that a mouse riding a paper airplane is the cutest! The bunny, from Upon a Star, is looking longingly at her mouse buddy (from Elphie Selfie.)



To make it look like the mouse is riding in the paper airplane, I stamped a second paper airplane and used scissors to cut an extra front panel. Once I adhered it on top of the mouse, it looked like he was really inside. I watercolored the area behind the mouse in a purple, so that it would pop against the blue of the background clouds.

To give color to the clouds, I simply dipped a brush into white pigment ink and colored the edges. I will definitely be doing this again!

Elephant party pop-up card (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

For the last day of Lawn Fawn inspiration week, we're showing off our best pop-up cards, using the new pop-up add-ons. I've used the Grassy Hillside Pop-up Add-on.



Maia went to a birthday party and I colored the little girl to match the birthday girl. I love that the girl from Bicycle Built For You can ride the elephant from Elphie Selfie! I will definitely be looking for other critters she can sit on!

sorry i'm so slow... (lawn fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

It's day 2 of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, and we're showing off a few new sets. I've focused on Bannertastic, and built my card around the sweeping banner.

I've set up a birthday scene with the sloth from Hang in There, as well as the bird and mouse and other accessories from Elphie Selfie.



I backed everything in a sheet of purple watercolor paper, and frame it out with a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables die.

To note: I'm calling this week My Purple Period, because in editing my photos I realized that half of them feature this pretty purple watercolor paper. I've used it all up already. ack. It's so pretty though!

Elphie Selfie (Lawn Fawn February inspiration week)

Hi there!



It's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, with all new products finally for sale as of February 23rd! Today, we're showing off Elphie Selfie, featuring the cutest elephants ever.

To create this card, I die-cut a Zig Zag Rectangle, and used the negative portion as a mask. I used distress inks to sponge a pink background for my scene, and just a bit of green grass. Since I created the background using distress inks, I flicked some water onto the background to give that dreamy bokeh effect.



The rest of the images were colored and adhered to the card base using foam adhesives. I love that all of the critters are here for that little bird!
