xoxoxo (Lawn Fawn valentine release week)

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn's valentine release week. Today, I'm showing off the XOXOXO line border:

I used the line border to ground the 2 musicians from Critter Concert. I back the line border with a solid heart from the new Candy Hearts die collection and peppered the air with music notes and tiny hearts.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of mint cardstock, which is a pretty contrast to the light purple Polka Heart Backdrop.

beautiful music (Lawn Fawn inspiration week)

Hi there!

On the final day of this month's Lawn Fawn inspiration week, I'm showing off the Happy Anniversary Border die:

Ever since I laid eyes on the music-themed set, Critter Concert, I wished for this sentiment! I decided to make my own - ack! Because I was definitely using the Happy Anniversary border, I needed a smallish font, something that could fit into the banner flag that fit the die-cut-border's proportions.

I found Plan On It: Spring Cleaning in my stash and went to work, stamping the letters out one at a time. All the letters I needed were in that set, save the F in beautiful - but I don't think you can tell that I drew it in myself. And to clarify, yes, I did cut up the letters in the Plan On It set, and I do that often with sentiments in any set. ha. I have no problems surgically giving my sets new life!

To build my card, I cut a heart and did some watercoloring on it in shades of pink. Then, I colored my band critters, stamped out extra music notes and added them to the heart along with the 2-part sentiment.

I layed those pieces onto a layer of Polka Dot coverplate (which I trimmed down using a rectangle die) and placed everything onto my white base.

Toot your own horn! (Lawn Fawn summer release week)

Hi there!

Lawn Fawn's summer release week continues with a closer look at some add-on dies for the Shadow Box Card.

I used the Theater Add-On set to create this fun card:

Isn't it too cute? It's a really simple design, and came together so easily, but looks really impressive.

I colored 3 of the musical critters from Critter Concert, and framed them out using the curtains from the Theater Add-On set.

That owl playing the violin is so adorable.

I love that the whole thing folds flat and fits into a standard envelope.

Just a little note (Lawn Fawn summer release week!)

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of Lawn Fawn's summer release week! We're showing off the cutest band of critters with Critter Concert:

just a little note (Lawn Fawn summer release week!)

I paired the bear from Critter Concert with the sheet-music-holding bunny from Coaster Critters and then die-cut a few bars of Little Music Notes.

I framed out the music notes using the scalloped rectangle die from the Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On die (more of that coming soon!) I used a light blue ink to give a subtle wash of color to make sure that the music notes really popped from behind.

On the card base, I die-cut a kraft layer of the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop.

I hope you like what I've created today! There's more to see on the LF blog this morning - click!
