Sooo, my baby sister Nadia is having a girl - and once she nailed down the baby room colors, we set out to create a matching party. There are A LOT of pictures, so settle in!
Things to look out for:
- desserts in all shades of pink
- pink, grey and white hanging tissue paper lanterns - we got the tutorial from the great Martha Stewart
- Nadia's mommy-to-be "belly award"
- tiny notecards and envelopes, where guests could leave a note for our showered mama.
I covered styrofoam balls with either strips of fabric, or punch flowers and nested them onto candle holders for our table's centerpiece.
I printed this simple game onto regular white cardstock, and then embellished it a bit with my own stamps and inks.
Nadia's hubs kept looking around after the party, saying: "I really hope it's a girl, with all this pink!" We had
a great time.
Oh, and I made favors! A set of 4 handmade cards for each of the 16 guests.... you do the math:
a great time.

ReplyDeleteOkay, so I saw this post this morning, but didn't have the chance to reply until now. This is a show stopper! Seriously, you need to do this professionally. Have you heard of Hostess with the Mostess? All of our details are perfect! Thanks for sharing. You've given me a few ideas for Joshua's 1st birthday and that is still 4 1/2 months away!
ReplyDeleteOkay, we are for SURE Soul Mates...
ReplyDeleteI am going to copy pretty much ALL of your ideas for Emma's ballerina party. And the ones I don't copy for that, I'm copying for Josie's party. This is BEAUTIFUL.
I also love beautiful food - and I love how your food matched your party. I do that too!!!
PS: Using the frame from Simple Jane is *genius* for the names on the cups!!!

This is absolutely fantastic!! I am co-hosting a bridal shower for my future SIL in about a month, so some of these ideas (with a few bride-y modifications) will come in handy!! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, thoroughly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea for a baby shower. I've been through lots of baby shower ideas for girls and this is one of the best color palettes for baby girls. Great job, I totally love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing ideas for pink & grey baby shower. I also attended garden themed baby shower at venues in San Francisco. We had just wonderful time with my cousins in this bash. It was a fall themed winter ceremony and everything was organized my own sister.
